8/10service people should keep the same person all alone.... receiving and goodbye... food and wine suggestion all good, service is good but not perfect.

6.5/10the sauce of the meat and seafood was very salty.... never check any food allergy ....wondering whether the chef checked the sauce himself before serving the food

10/10At 1741, we had a wonderful, mind-blowing time, as if we were traveling to an unfamiliar world. In particular, the flow from the white fish, through the soup, to the roast duck was truly wonderful. Next time we visit Strasbourg, we will definitely book this wonderful restaurant again.

10/10Fantastic restaurant in a charming building in the centre of Strasbourg. The menu concept is 5, 7 or 9 course tasting menus. I went for the 9 courses, and every single one was delicious, beautifully presented and made from the finest ingredients. I would give the food 6 stars if I could. Service is very attentive, friendly and professional. Staff go out of their way to ensure guests have an excellent experience. I was seated on the top floor with a full view of the kitchen, which in my opinion is the best seat in the house. After many visits to 1741 I can, without hesitation, give this restaurant my very best recommendation.

9/10The restaurant has two seating areas. The first floor is the main restaurant area. The second floor has high stools overlooking the Chef and kitchen which may be uncomfortable for older people to sit or move. Although it is interesting to observe the Chef and the kitchen, the second floor surely feels like a let down. Especially because the reservation team seems to be seating visitors from outside France and people booking online (e.g. through Fork) on the second floor.

10/10Excellent restaurant in the centre of Strasbourg. Wonderful food, perfectly prepared from only the best ingredients. The 9 course tasting menu really demonstrates the skills of the chef and his team. The restaurant is in a charming townhouse near the river with very pleasant dining rooms on each floor. After a recent redecoration of the whole restaurant it is even more beautiful and inviting. Service is excellent, very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. This is my favorite restaurant in Strasbourg, and I highly recommend it.

8/10This was our first time at 1741 and, to be fair, it was their first night re-opening after seven months of renovations. This might explain why they were off their game a bit. The seven-course discovery menu was alright, although it took almost four hours with long breaks in between each serving, some missteps in service, and with quantities that were appropriate but not more (let's say we were glad to have bread available). Overall, we've been accustomed to better with Michelin-starred places but, again, this might just be because it was their first day after a long break.

10/10Excellent dining experience. We were led through the meal by our wonderful server Giacomo. He gave thorough explanations of the courses and wine and he was was friendly and attentive . The food was outstanding, especially the snapper, langoustine, artichoke and sweetbread courses. Overall, it was a spectacular meal and evening to remember.

9/10The food was certainly Michelin worthy, creative without being pretentious, and the service we were provided lived up to its 1 star rating being personable and professional. The restroom was a little neglected with a surplus of used hand towels needing to be removed and washed better than the clean one’s that were provided. The wine pairing system and pricing could have been explained better as well. In the end it is worthy of its star and very reasonably priced.

9.5/10I enjoyed an excellent dinner at 1841 in Strasbourg. They have 5, 7 and 9 course tasting menus, and I went for the 9 courses. Everything was very enjoyable. The food is of very high quality, using fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. The staff is very friendly and professional. The restaurant is in a house near the river in central Strasbourg. The dining rooms are located on all four floors of the house and the interior is elegant and welcoming. It is a wonderful restaurant and I give it my best recommendation.

8.5/10Delicious food. Very nice waiter. The room next to the entrance is not great. Very noisy with unsightly draught as the door is open most of the time. The rooms upstairs are probably much better for dinner.

The food is of very high quality, using fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. The staff is also excellent, very friendly and relaxed but also very professional. 9.5/10This was clearly a Michelin restaurant. The interior was amazing and it immediately felt like we were in an amazing place. We had the four course lunch, which included a set of small bites before the meal and an additional set of small bites after so the four course seemed like six. We asked for wine pairings for each course but believe we did not make ourselves clear as we did not speak French and pairings were not automatically setup for each course. When I finished my wine, I was never asked if I wanted more or if I wanted a pairing. This was a small concern as the experience was about the food which was exceptional. We would absolutely come here again.

6.5/10We were offered a table close to the kitchen but we asked to be moved to a different floor. Being exposed to the noise and frenetic activities of the kitchen wasn't our idea of a Michelin star experience. The service was excellent but two of the six courses were disappointing. The second course of the menu was boring, a vegetable pasta in a sabayon sauce. We gave up on it after a few forkful. The third course, a few pieces of muchrooms in a soup which was so salty that it was inedible. Fortunately, the fish course, the duck and the dessert were all expertly and tastefully prepared. The available wines by the glass were limited and it was difficult to find a decent red wine for the duck. In summary, this meal was disappointing, especially compared to the excellent lunch we had the following day in another 1 Michelin star restaurant in the same city.

5.5/10- The food was delicious and beautiful - The service was poor because of language barriers. - We ordered the 6 course menu and expected a certain dish but it never came. We asked about it and were told it was on the 4 course menu, and we could were offered nothing more: we could not get the dish we wanted - The interior decor was not pretty at all - The dessert was abysmal, and the other menu appeared to have better desserts - The menu had 2 items: a 4 course menu and a 6 course menu. There was no information about what was on either menu.

10/10We loved the 1741 - a great 1* Michelin restaurant - the staff were friendly and professional and all spoke good English too - some amazing dishes - particularly the fois gras and lobster courses. We try and visit a Michelin starred restaurant on every break we take and this one certainly did not disappoint - would highly recommend.

The food is made using the very best quality ingredients, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Go for the seven course tasting menu "Menu 17-41" to experience the highlights of the kitchen. The wine pairings are great and a perfect way to sample the correct wine with each course - at a very reasonable price, actually. Service is very personal and friendly yet super professional - no detail is overlooked. 1741 continues to be amongst the very best in Strasbourg and the region.

10/10The staff is amazing and the chef very accommodating to our dietary/allergy restrictions. Even as a purest for eating what the chef’s intention is for the flavor of each course, I didn’t bring my epi pen and the food was still absolutely amazing even without the tree nuts! This is my third time eating here and it is worth every penny. It is my favorite restaurant in Strasbourg!
