6.5/10Service was slow regardless of having 4+ waiters due to food wait time. Excellent location. Looks very modernized and cozy. The starters were dissapointing. The carpaccio wss overshadowed by a strong tasting sauce thats seemed storebought. Parmesano was dull and light. Beef was ok. Rocette was good. The beef tataki was a small portion but came in an excellent sauce that was freshly made. Looks bland but the beef was ok. Was definitely cooked earlyer and stored cooled. A hint of cooler fresh fish was in my beef. Main courses were small but better then the starters. The duck was the best one we had. Tame duck but a full big breast fillet on a small cake with sauce. Served with asparagus. My guest found the ribeye excellent which was presented sliced and tasted oven roasted. It came atop "a carrot and mashes potato" the deer stew was a letdown. Dry and overcooked. Seasoned in cinnamon to a point that id not recognize deer. Served on a tasteless biscuit. Good bacon on potato and sprouts

6.5/10Service was a bit slow. Had to ask for some things twice. Personnel wasn't proactively walking around or inquiring whether they could assist. They were friendly and accommodating once asked, tho. Ambiance was fine. It's a cozy setting, but with just enough room between guests. Quality of food was mixed. Entrees were fine, main course was a bit colder than ideal.

9/10We enjoyed our meal in this charming restaurant. The food was good, well prepared and well presented. Service was very friendly and efficient. Lovely location with a waterside terrace. Parking a bit of a squeeze. Recommend you park in the wider streets and walk the last bit.

9/10Extensive menu for lunch available, plenty of gluten-free options. Gluten-free bread was available although it was very basic. Venison meat was cooked perfectly, the sauce was a bit weak and watery. Gluten-free bouillabaisse was a treat, it was a pity that is was served not hot enough. Beautiful location in old Maarssen.

9/10Great place with lots of character. Friendly waiting staff. Room for larger groups at the back. Prices are reasonable. Good for lunch or dinner. Tap water in a bottle at your table is a sympathetic gesture because the price of the tap water is donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Fund. Would definitely go here again.

10/10I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal. The cuisine was absolutely amazing, with a menu full of delicious options that were expertly prepared and beautifully presented. One thing that really stood out to me was the quality of the ingredients. It was clear that the chef and kitchen staff take great care in sourcing the best possible ingredients to create their dishes.

10/10On the whole the meal and the wine and ambience, brilliant, superb. The only drawback was it took 45 mins to an hour to get our main course. We will be back to give them another chance.

8/10Great restaurant with great service. They are always very accommodating adapting the dishes to my dietary requirements (intolerance for gluten and dairy) and offer extra servings of vegetables which I love. We enjoyed our evening out and will definitely revisit the place :-)

9/10Great quality-value with the offer. Some dishes are super tasty (the vegan burger) while other quite plain (the fish papillote) so it depends on what you take. But overall nice restaurant and service, I would go back.
