Two of the older gentleman working there made the experience top notch. They were funny, personable and very kind. We were sitting outside and I had forgotten about pickpockets and sat my purse on the seat next to me, closest to the sidewalk where someone could easily grab it. One of the older gentleman came over and looked at it meaningfully until I remembered the dangers. Then they had us cracking up at their antics and storytelling throughout dinner. I recommend going partially to be able to enjoy these gentlemen’s company.

The restaurant was warm and welcoming. The food and wine were excellent. We were party of 4 and we all enjoyed our dinner.

However, we find your comment about the presence of tourists quite odd. We are in the center of Rome, one of the most visited cities in the world—wouldn’t it be strange if there were no tourists? And since you were one of them yourself, it makes us wonder what exactly the issue is. Good food and excellent service don’t distinguish between locals and visitors—we welcome everyone with the same dedication and care. If you decide to return, we’ll be happy to surprise you with something special!

Very nice and friendly personnel. Delicious food! The pizzas are amazing, perfect Italian in forno dough. Pasta and desert were also excellent. Totally recommend it

Great food and drink at a reasonable price. Lots of specials that aren't on the menu. The walk back to Termini station is abit dodgy at night. Take care.

Le caveauThe plates were returned clean, photos of the place can be found on Google, The Fork, Tripadvsor, and when asked if everything was fine, the answer was affirmative. And then... surprise, the power of the keyboard!

This is the best restaurant we’ve visited in Rome. Every dish is soooo good! We went there twice! Its seafood spaghetti and risotto are very delicious deserve a try!

We prefer the place because of the close distance to our hotel. We did not expect much indeed, But surprisingly we have found good food better than expected. Service and waiters were excellent, too. Price was also reasonable.

An authentic family restaurant in the heart of Rome. Great find and lovely chat with the owner who was passionate about Italian food. Simple flavoursome dishes.

The food was good, wine excellent, the restaurant itself is quite mediocre looking. I am torn about the staff - we were served by a young man who tried his best and was friendly, but his colleague, who was maybe half my age, scolded me on how I should not eat ordered pasta with seafood with a bit parmeggiano. I love cheese and whild I appreciate advice, I would like to enjoy my food as I want it as a customer - that should be the aim of any restaurant. All in all, we will not be coming here for a second dinner.

This restaurant was a delightful find! The server was attentive and super helpful with menu choices, wine and drinks. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was delicious!

Good friendly service with a young male + female server. No Lasange available despite being in the restaurant at 7.30. Suppli appeared overcooked or microwaved. Caprese very simple but nice. Carabonaro and amatriano both solid (good but not spectacular). Tiramisu decent. Disappointed to be charged for 2 limencellos which many restaurants will offer free gratis

Restaurant was nice inside and outside as we went here twice. The food was good and the staff were very friendly. Good value for money. You won't be dissapointed.

Found this gem near the station thanks to the Fork. The staff were really helpful and attentive. Food was delicious. Not in the best of areas but ignore this end enjoy a lovely restaurant.

Same music track played for two hours without changing. Food very good. Two young lady waitresses very much overworked which ruined anotherwise very pleasant experience. The owner tries to help but he is scruffy and dirty. I won't be back ever again.

The most welcome we have felt as a family, and food was delicious too! We are staying near Termini station, so I found this restaurant nearby with good reviews and it did not disappoint. I had read that children are welcome at restaurants in Italy as long as they aren’t poorly behaved, but we had less than warm welcomes at most places for our first few days. Not at Le Caveau — they were lovely. Plus great service and great food. Thank you!

Lovely restaurant with some great dishes and a friendly atmosphere. Quite large inside but nevertheless booking is best. Staff speak good English which helps the overall welcome.

Excellent ! Food delicious and perfectly prepared. Seafood pasta and seafood risotto both outstanding . Fresh shellfish , seasoning does not overpower flavor. Attention to detail in all aspects of dining

We were staying closer and we booked the restaurant. Food is very good, generous portions and also excellent price in comparison to other places in Rome.

We enjoyed our dinner here, our waiter was fantastic and it was nice to have a relaxing meal in a lovely place after a busy day sightseeing. I felt the food was very reasonably priced and good value.
