10/10The husband and wife owners really make this place. He works the bar and the tables while she slaves behind in the kitchen. This is my second time here and I will definitely go back again!

10/10Le Chanard is a tiny gem of a neighborhood restaurant in the Marais. Run by a husband and wife team - she handles the kitchen, he manages the front of the house - the place was packed with locals, including the lively, buzzy bar. The menu changes based on market availability and you can taste the freshness in the food. The chef takes a creative approach to her preparations - our meal was superb. I enjoyed a frisée salad with lardons and a perfectly poached egg, as well as a fantastic pan fried scallops dish with a chorizo cream sauce. They also had a varied an interesting wine list - including multiple wines by the glass, although we shared a bottle! My husband enjoyed a warm lentil soup topped with foie gras (fantastic!) and a wonderful fresh perch dish. I can't wait to return to this delightful restaurant when we visit Paris again.

9.5/10Superb food, perfectly cooked and well presented. 3 of us has clams, bacon salad, and hare terrine to start. Followed by braised beef, perch and guinea fowl for mains. Attentive, considerate service by one owner who's other half was the excellent chef! Very reasonably priced for what we had, will certainly return when next in le marais.

10/10The food was amazing! The ambience was cozy and inviting. Felt like spending an evening in their home. And the soundtrack in the background was superb! Would absolutely recommend to friends and family. We will be returning as soon as possible.

10/10Creative menu, accommodating host, great vibe. My 2 dinner companions don't speak French fluently, so were very happy to see the menu board in English as well. A nice touch.

9.5/10Lovely place on side street, nice atmosphere, food delicious, great foie gras starter and haddock main. One man front of house doing it all. Service slowed a bit towards the end of meal as small bar in front was busy as well. Great choice in Marais.

10/10Music mood is well set by the team (of 2 peoples) and food is excellent. It is a pretty good example of what you should get for a nice diner, with quality product cooked with care in Paris. Do not hesitate to ask for guidance with wine ;)

10/10Le Chanard remains one of our favorite restaurants in Paris. It consistently surprises with the quality of its meals and the overall dining experience. Lisa is an extraordinarily talented chef. inventive, sensitive, and deeply intuitive. Her understanding of cuts of meat, temperament of vegetables, combination of textures, tastes and flavors is consistently impressive. We have sampled a variety of her dishes and have never been disappointed. The experience hosted by Antoine in the front of the house has always been a perfect compliment to the delicious meals. The atmosphere is welcoming, comfortable and casual, yet professional, and Antoine’s warmth and good humor — not to mention the expertise he shares about the food and wine offerings — is a great addition. Each visit to Le Chanard has been a treat and a real highlight of our trips to Paris. This restaurant deserves much more traffic and accolades, though we fear it becoming so popular that reservations will become difficult… Nonetheless, Le Chanard warrants all the attention it receives.

10/10Lovely small restaurant with a kind server who patiently explained the menu to me. (I’m not great at reading French handwriting so was not confident about my translation.) His wine recommendation was spot on for me and appeared to be for the table next to me as well. Had cauliflower soup with chanterelles to start. My main course was duck confit which was served with a nice fricassée and no less than 14 small potatoes (!). I also had as a perfect lemon tart. A fantastic value at about 50 Euros.

Chère Monsieur,à l'avis de votre femme sur google et le votre nous ne ferons qu'une seule réponse et c'est le mari qui vous répond pas le restaurateur. Vous êtes la preuve qu'on ne peut pas plaire à tout le monde. Ne vous méprenez pas,au delà des avis qui nous sont favorables, nous ne cherchons ni la lumière ni la gloire. Nous n'avons aucune prétention,surtout pas celle de se croire meilleur que les autres. Nous tenons notre restaurant tel qu'on est. Simplement & honnêtement. En revanche que votre femme nous expose en postant 12 photos est assez déplacé, elle aurait pu faire preuve de plus d'élégance et vous aussi. De la part d'un seul client celà n'arrive jamais! On dirait une enquête à la limite du voyeurisme.C'est donc ça votre métier?.Vous êtes venus flatter votre réputation et contenter vos followers. Accepteriez vous qu'on fasse la même chose sur vous? J'en doute. Il est plus aisé de detruire que de construire.On est toujours plus exigeant envers les autres qu'envers soi-même. Revenez à plus d'humilité
