6/10service and ambiance were great. Food and wine were not!! Wine pairing was terrible, very recent vintages, mostly corsican wines, basic level bordeaux, 10 year old tawnies… would never pay to drink these wines. Deeply dissapointed. The first 2 dishes were cold, salty and unelegant mussel dish, and the second dish was this cold vegetarian dish, that seemed easy to remove from the fridge and serve. I did not know how to say, scratch all this and let me order a la carte and select my own wine from the wine menu. Spent a lot of money for just service and ambiance. Would never return. They should have the michellin removed. Not to par.

10/10Incredible dining experience. The 8-act tasting menu was better than advertised. The chef’s artistic presentations were outmatched only by the quality of the ingredients utilized during the meal (most of which were locally-sourced) and the unique flavors we experienced. While the food was experiential in and of itself, it was the staff that made our night. The staff took great pains to ensure that we were treated like the guests of honor while simultaneously ensuring a comfortable and familial environment that we were not accustomed to experiencing at restaurants of this quality. Overall, could not ask for a better experience.

7/10This wasn't our first time dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant, but unfortunately, it fell below our expectations. The menu, particularly the à la carte options, wasn't explained at all. The appetizers were too salty, and my husband had to wait 20 minutes for his cocktail. Overall, it did not live up to the Michelin star standard.

10/10We arrived from the States at 9 AM; after cruising the promenade and relaxing at the Negresco Beach Club, Le Chantecler was our first meal on a two-week trip to France and Italy. Dario was our server, and he was excellent; the entire team puts so much effort into the smallest details; I’ve never experienced finer service. We did the eight-course tasting menu and loved it. There was a cucumber and peach salad that might be one of the simplest and most delicious starters I’ve ever had. We stayed late and made friends with our table neighbors, overall a tremendous experience and a great way to hit the ground running in Europe!

8/10I suppose I am a bit biased as it was not my first time eating here and the experience alone the first time swept me off my feet, however, this was a bit underwhelming this time around. We got the 5 course pre-fixed menu and regret not ordering items a la carte because those sounded fantastic! The first dish with muscles with "natural salinity" was not for myself and my family members and was a difficult way to begin the meal. I myself attended Le Chantecler two years ago and was disappointed to see that 2/5 of our courses were repeated from my previous experience. The service was impeccable, never an empty glass of water and the presentation was beautiful of course. Since it was my families first time, they provided us with many small surprises all of which were lovely. Aspects like the bread, butter, silverware, live piano were all perfect, which in a way is exactly what you come for in a special place like this so overall nice experience but maybe not the prefixed menu for us!

10/10For gluten free menu the experience was incredible. For the first time in a Michelin star restaurant I received gluten free bread. I will let you discover the menu without giving any spoiler but I would characterize it as a positive woman, strong in making decisions, romantic, sometimes jealous. You will find a good mix between diaphone and spicy.

9.5/101) from arrival to departure, the staff was the most perfectly attentive & gracious with sophistication; the uniforms were classy, unique & impressive; 2) the menu options between a La carte, or 5 course, or 8 course prix fixe, & optional 5 or 6 course wine pairings, were perfect; 3) my wife couldn’t believe how thoroughly she enjoyed the piano player; she would have assumed this would be over the top & kitschy, but he was VERY sophisticated & unobtrusive with the perfect volume & great play list… so good that we didn’t utilize the offer to select special requests from the extensive repertoire from the scannable QR Code 3) the hotel’s bar/lounge next door to the restaurant also was STUNNING & should not be missed

+5Quite an experience ! Splendid surroundings and settings and I appreciated the stool by the side to place your things like bags or phone . Service was exceptional and the presentation was impeccable . Some of the dishes I found a tad salty but everything was delicious .

8/10The restaurant still has work to do. They can increase quality by improving some of their dishes because these had a bitter taste. Furthermore, the tea I ordered was poor. It lacked quality and creativity for a michelin star restaurant.

8.5/10A gourmet restaurant fitting into the Negresco style and world. Very nice and customer oriented service staff with a really beautiful ambient. If you choose the 8 dish surprise menu you will get a selection of the chef‘s competence. Unfortunately the main course was not the highlight. The menu started perfectly but the menu ended a little bit weak. A very nice and large wine and champagne list. The restaurant is asking a formal dresscode but is accepting outfits even if it they are not acceptable and unfortunately the restaurant accept even the active usage of mobile phones during dinner. This is a no-go for such a stylish restaurant. In particular the maitre d‘hotel Mr. Ricardo Oliveira did a really great job when starting and ending the gourmet evening !

10/10Really amazing experience all around. From the extravagant dining room decor, beautiful setting, perfectly paired wine selection, and of course thoughtfully presented absolutely stunning food, course after course only got better!! Some stand outs were the canapés including an arugula marshmallow, beef cheek agnolotti, fortified wine from 1980 served with the cheese course, and the strawberry inspired dessert was extraordinary! Only downfall for me was that the house made salted butter was served cold with the bread service, the vegan butter option made up for it.

9/10Wonderful experience. We tried the 5-dish menu and felt very welcomed by the staff at Chanteclier. The dishes in the menu get changed every few months because of seasonality of the ingredients. We found the dessert and the main course (beef) to be the strenghts of the chef.

8/10Excellent service. Nice design of the restaurant, very good positioning of tables. I was with my husband and we both have chosen the the menu Le chant des saveurs. The food was served well as in similar type of restaurants but nothing extraordinary, expect the presentation of the bread. The meal itself was kind of disappointment, from the 5 courses I would not order any of those second time. I also had issue with the beaf the meat chosen for the steak was not a filet mignon, but some cheaper part of beaf which was not possible to chew till the end, the course was changed but the new one was the same.

10/10One of the best restaurants in Nice. From the hotel that it's in to the food everything is perfection. I went with 8 course meal and I wasn't disappointed. The serive is exemplary. There are so attentive to my needs and addressed all my concerns. I will definitely be coming back here again.
