We had such a wonderful dinner tonight! We brought three young people to their first "fancy" dinner, and the food and the service was so great! I'm so glad they had such an excellent first Michelin experience, and I thank everyone at Le Figuier de Saint-Esprit for their amazing service and good nature tonight.

Got the taste ting menu. The signature dishes of the chef was brilliant, but unfortunately some of the other dishes was quite ordinary. Also a few mistakes by serving the food makes us wonder how the got the Michelin star...

Food was exceptional. Decor, arrival sequence and setting felt tired, dated and missed. Service was ok and stretched.

The cuisine is beyond the expectations, and Chef respected the my customised non menu inquiry. Chef greeted me personally, great personalised experience!

My first Michelin star in France! My overall experience was great. We were seated out in the terrace and it was beautiful. The vibe and food were good. I had the best chocolate lava cake that I’ve had!

I’m not sure the one star in the Guide will prevail due to the shortcomings in service, but I will always come back. The food is splendid.

Disappointing for a 1*. Very bad service, didn’t get my wine paring and had to remind them 3 times. Decent cooking but poorly balanced. Bit flat. Good wines though.

Why were we given iPads for menus?

They offer both a prix fix tasing menu (with or without paired wine) or a-la-carte. Both have fabulous foods with wonderful flavor. A-la-carte worked well for us as we tend to share.

Lovely ambience but underwhelming food… the Michelin inspectors are more relaxed in France than globally

A delightful restaurant in the heart of old Antibes. Stunning food, environment and service. The chef took time to interact with guests, which was a nice touch. The wine pairing served with the tasting menu was fabulous too. I would recommend that anyone going for the tasting menu eats minimally during the day. The meal is both tasty and filling and guests will need space to enjoy all of the elements.

Excellent food and ambiance definitely would recommend, the chef came out at the end of the meal and greeted me which was a special treat. The staff and service were also excellent, well deserving of the Michelin star!

Delightful meal- use of fresh vegetables gave the dishes a very summertime feel. Atmosphere is charming . Each dish is as also very generous portions.

You might have a certain expectation when you visit a Michelin star restaurant but this one failed to deliver. The duck foie gras was a bland pâté and the John Dory was presented in a tasteless cucumber sauce. They over indexed on dessert with 2 courses. Service was patchy. Expected better.

Overall our experience was a good one. However, it was not what I consider a typical Michelin star restaurant. The food was presented well but the flavor profiles were mixed poorly. The dishes seemed almost dated and were not innovative or inspiring. The service was good but the timing of the food was off as we waited for some time to get our main dish. The ambiance of the space has a lot of character but the overall theme sends mixed signals combining the old architecture and fig tree with a TV display and iPads for menus.

The majority of the plates on the tasting menu were nicely done, notably the lamb, fish, and dessert courses, but a few were either less convincing (a rather fishy and gelatinous sea urchin concoction) or flatly tasteless, as was a soupy amuse bouche. Pacing was uneven and not fully attentive —our order of the house special aperitif cocktail was only served after the amuses bouches were placed on the table, eliminating the expected relaxing start phase of a high end evening. We were seated in a dramatic formerly outdoor courtyard which had been converted very effectively Into a handsome stone walled and leafy room; such attention to the setting was undone by allowing a scruffily dressed unkempt couple to occupy one of the restaurant’s most prominently visible tables. There are times when I wonder why restaurateurs devote so much energy in designing inviting spaces yet allow eyesores to enter and ruin the effect. Our visit was one of those times. In summary, there were some high points to the evening, but a starred experience should be more consistent.

Lovely area of Antibes, we went in November but must be beautiful in the summer with the open roof. We were first of all puzzled about being given an ipad as menu. When you spend so many hours a day working in front of a screen the last thing you want is another screen. Additionally, a big TV screen in the room acted as art display with works of art changing every 30 seconds. It reminded me of my dentist’s waiting room. The food itself was pretty good, although quite traditional and lacked the wow effect. Our starters were lovely - especially the scallops. Same for mains, beautiful fresh fish with seasonal vegetables and a delightful sauce. What really bothered us and slightly spoiled our romantic evening was the constant interruptions by the waiters checking all was ok. Part of being a Michelin-starred restaurant is knowing the fine line between being attentive and over-zealous.
