10/10le marquis is a step back in time for all the right reasons. The food is flavoursome and complimentary to everything on the plate . The staff are friendly and helpful. The sunday lunch is excellent value for money.

10/10One of the best discoveries in the Algarve! We have had two lunches here and both ave been excellent. Helma is wonderful at making you feel very at home and is passionate about the provenance of the ingredients they use. Vincent is the most amazing chef producing incredible dishes. Together they are an unbeatable team!

10/10We had a wonderful evening. Beautiful location and the service was excellent. Our food was delicious and the house wine was excellent from the Douro Valley. We will definitely be revisiting and taking friends.

We have been in Portugal for a month and this is the only dining experience that has qualified as fine dining. The restaurant is in a century old farm house that is part of a country estate. The chef and his wife run the restaurant. The food was as good as we have had at any 2 star Michelin restaurant. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was romantic and intimate. It was a great experience for a fraction of the cost it would have been in the states.

We’ve been coming to this beautiful restaurant, with family and lots of our friends, since we first discovered Portugal about 14 years ago - we even came here during Covid! 😫 It is still run by the same wonderful chef, Vincent and his lovely wife Helma and their same excellent staff. They still serve the best food in the area and have live music by Vernon on Sundays & Wednesdays! Amazingly, their gourmet set lunch here is cheaper than a 3 course lunch at Prezzos at home in UK!! 😲 We never miss this delight.

10/10We have been coming to the restaurant for many years. Every year we have delicious food and excellent service. If you have never visited le marquis you must try it! Our boys age 7 and 10 say Vince makes the best pudding ever!!!

10/10This is a beautiful place to eat from every perspective. The food is excellent, service outstanding, efficient and very friendly, the ambience is also special. Today , Jan. 21 we ate lunch outdoors in the sun. We have been many times for Sunday lunch and always look forward to going back. The owners make a special effort to engage and we enjoy everything about the place.
