le marquis is a step back in time for all the right reasons. The food is flavoursome and complimentary to everything on the plate . The staff are friendly and helpful. The sunday lunch is excellent value for money.

One of the best discoveries in the Algarve! We have had two lunches here and both ave been excellent. Helma is wonderful at making you feel very at home and is passionate about the provenance of the ingredients they use. Vincent is the most amazing chef producing incredible dishes. Together they are an unbeatable team!

We have been in Portugal for a month and this is the only dining experience that has qualified as fine dining. The restaurant is in a century old farm house that is part of a country estate. The chef and his wife run the restaurant. The food was as good as we have had at any 2 star Michelin restaurant. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was romantic and intimate. It was a great experience for a fraction of the cost it would have been in the states.
