The place is actually amazing from the architecture, wall paintings and sculptures. You only can imaging what an elegant place this must have been 100 years ago! Unfortunately nowadays this is only a tourist attraction for especially tourist groups. They even roll cloth racks in the middle of the room. According to photos we dressed up nicely and it turned out that we were totally overdressed… Last not least we got a bad located table, because the good tables were occupied by better paying tourist groups. So this place is great for groups, but go for an romantic evening somewhere else. Paris has some amazing restaurants where you can still smell the elegance of former times. Train Bleu is an example how you can turn an amazing space into a cheap attraction.

Food good. Staff, in particular male staff had no social skills whatsoever, they only spoke to ask us what we wanted from menu and plonked the food down snootily. As we left we thanked them and said goodbye and they just stared back at us condescendingly. We left a good tip, more for the food than anything else but on reflection wev should have reduced it for the inhospitable and unfriendly service. We will not return. Terry

The elegant and stylish service was exemplary by all the staff to all the clients. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly so we were able enjoy being taken back in time to the ‘Belle Époque ’ despite our casual clothes! A great (if pricey) experience. Well done!

Beside having reservation, we were offered really bad places, needed to ask 3x to change. Service was OK, food average, but atmosphere very noisy, lot of people running around, very little behavior of guests, very expensive in price/quality ratio. Beside the old decoration, not worth going there!!

We are American and I found this plate on tik tok and have read amazing reviews. However, being an America at this spot is not ideal. You are treated with such disrespect. This is my second time in Paris and this by far had the worst service and food to go along with it. Definitely not worth the money when you can go to a smaller cafe and get better food and better service, don’t waste your time

It was a nice experience eating in Le Tain Bleu, very beautiful decor and food is great.
