I have wanted to dine at Le Train Bleu for 40 years. My father and mother used to visit Paris frequently. They always wanted to dine at Le Train Bleu but were unable to get a reservation. Now, I have helped fulfill their dream. I told my 96-year-old mother of my visit and how outstanding it was. She was thrilled. Le Train Bleu lived up to all my expectations. The surroundings are stunning; food is impeccable; service is perfect; and the ambience is warm, rich, and memorable. I spent 10 days in Paris dining at various bistros, brasseries, and restaurants. The best meal and dining experience of those 10 days was lunch at Le Train Bleu. I also enjoyed the fact that all of the diners I saw were well dressed. That helped make Le Train Bleu special. If I only have one restaurant to recommend in Paris, it will be Le Train Bleu.

I enjpyed my lunch of roast lamb, then Mont Blanc dessert, but felt the service was a bit disorganised. I was also surprised by how very noisy it was, as I expected a more relaxed atmosphere.

ALWAYS fantastic. So great the historic painting and interior decor has been restored. Food is great. BEST lamb and BEST steak tartare in the world. Can't wait to go back.

Very beautiful restaurant! Food can be a little better, but it was still good! The bathroom was really dirty and has a very bad smell. I couldn’t even go to the bathroom. For being such an iconic restaurant, the bathrooms should be very clean. Enjoyed the atmosphere 100%

Amazing decor in this railway station “buffet”. Food, although very good, is not memorable (excellent sea bream tartare, but just “correct” pike quenelles and baba bouchon). Attentive service. Overall, the sheer atmosphere is worth the experience. Hopefully I will come back.

First of all, I was surprised by the location I had no idea this beautiful restaurant was located in a train station. I didn’t like that people were taking their suitcases and park next to their table. The restaurant should provide storage for the suitcase. Other than that everything was good except for the wait time between meals. Servers were super busy and not very attentive. I enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Overall was a great experience!

The moment you walk in, the beauty will stop you in your tracks! The history is in the air. The service is impeccable and the food is excellent. Alone or with others take the historic adventure and feel a part of Paris best and past!

Beautiful restaurant in the Gare Lyon train station. It is like eating in a museum. Food was really good. My friend had a steak which they cooked at the table. I had fish with Newburg sauce & rice. It’s the house specialty. Was delicious. Food arrived very quickly. Service was very good.

The ambience, the service, the menu choices. The setting defies words: dining in elegance from days gone by. The well-orchestrated rhythms amongst all the servers. The delectable lamb sliced at the table with the very generous serving of gratin dauphinois and the cheese plate that raised this experience even more. Apparently an early lunch is a good time to order the lamb; according to the server “it’s fresh.” The only off-putting factor was the very prominent invitation right on the table Complete with a QR code to leave a Google review. Otherwise a delicious and memorable lunch.

The ambiance and the atmosphere was amazing! The paintings on the ceilings and the decorations like never seen before. I enjoyed the food and felt so privileged to be there. Can’t wait to go back as soon as the opportunity comes

Service at an extremely high standard and the food was absolutely superb. We chose the set menu and shared each of the courses. In addition to the wonderful cheese plate and the Rum Baba, we decided to have the Crepes Suzette for a bit of theatre...and it did not disappoint. The ambience and decor of the restaurant is mesmerising. A must do for any visit to Paris.

We loved the food and the atmosphere. The waiters were a lot of fun as well. Everyone looked so nice and elegant in this beautiful part of Parisian culinary history.

The ambiance is Wow, wow, wow... but I was seated in the back, all I saw was a window the whole night, I made the reservation 1 month ago! And I also purposely booked a hotel near this restaurant. I had to get up a few times to take a good look at all the art on the ceiling and walls... I ordered a 3-course set menu, they brought my main course wrong twice! No apologies, just took my plate away and made me wait half an hour more while my husband finished his meal, when my meal came. And the waiter didn't know how to charge my credit card! Mistakes like that are not supposed to happen in this restaurants . Anyway, I still tip the waiter 10 euro, not sure if he derserves it. Will I return...not sure.

Solid food, frustrating start. We arrived at 6:45 for a 7:00 opening, checked in... and then stood around for 15 minutes doing nothing. The restaurant was ready, we were ready, but they made us wait by the door until exactly 7:00 to be seated. My suggestion: if people are checked in and present before opening, just seat them. Don't make us stand there watching empty tables. It's a simple fix that would turn a 3-star entry into a 5-star experience."

This was an excellent cultural experience which really give you an a feel to French culture and cuisine, the food was well prepared but nothing special. Services was excellent, and most importantly the ambiance was out of this world, highly recommended for anyone visiting Paris.

We showed up early for 7pm resv dressed up for a romantic dinner in Paris's most beautiful restaurant. I asked the hostess if we could pick our table and pointed to a booth to the left. She said "certainly, you were the first ones here". What she DIDN'T tell us that we would sit there for over 30 minutes, alone, while everyone else with a 7pm reservation got service. At 7:32 a waiter from another section felt sorry for us and took drink order. At 7:40 a mgr came over and we explained that we had been there for over 40 minutes without service. We learned that the table was in a section that didn't open until 7:30. We were NEVER told that by the hostess. Our waiter showed up a few minutes later and must have been told that we complained because he was very short and not friendly. He eventually warmed up and we received proper service. The food was better than expected after reading reviews (langoustines excellent, filet was OK, lamb was very good) and the decor was beautiful

Good tradional French food in a beautiful setting. Service is friendly but unpolished. Try it once for the experience but overpriced for what it is good and service wise.

Five stars! I don't speak French, so ordering at a French restaurant can sometimes be hard for me. The team here was incredibly patient and friendly. They helped me order everything from the food to the wine, making sure I got something I would love and right portion for just 2 persons. The food was great, but the amazing English-speaking service made it even better."
