Our booking was accepted online and confirmed by email OK. We were delighted as looking forward to regional food near our hotel. However, the restaurant was firmly closed with no sign of life. We were short of time due to late arrival of our tour. The weather was also deteriorating but we still arrived at the restaurant comfortably before our reservation time. The restaurant closure caused us great difficulty as our other food options were in the opposite direction and we could not make them due to wasting time heading for our reservation so we had to dine on our remaining crisps in the room. Very disappointing! It would have been better for us if the booking had been honestly declined.

At first we were a bit sceptical as the online images of the interior, were somehow not that classy, but there's a "golden" rule. The more cosy and authentic the interior, the better the kitchen. Authentic dishes with great flavours for a "give-a-way" price. The wine was lovely as well.
