10/10The food, delicious! The service, super attentive and friendly. The ambience, warm a typical. Everything was great. Extra kudos for offering gluten free options. The waiter was super helpful and caring about that. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely come back.

10/10The forces superb. The owner was beyond delightful. Great ambience. The restaurant had been highly recommended by friends and I am so happy I listened. Not only that they did not try to rush us out the door. A lively 2-3 hour meal was most enjoyable. This is a must try if you are in Lucca.

10/10By far the best restaurant I have visited during my 4-day visit to Lucca. The food was excellent. It was quiet, given the time of year, but the owner and the waiter were exceptionally friendly and when I explained that I was learning Italian, they did everything they could to help me along my way. Such a lovely experience. Thank you!

6.5/10The host was very welcoming but the chicken was dry, the veal was gristly and the pasta was served 15 minutes after everyone else was served We sat out side which perhaps was a mistake due to all the motorbikes roaring by

Hello dear lady Ann, I'm sorry that you think something went wrong, anything can happen , we re human ,, I don't know it's true that you received the pasta little later but it was cooked fresh, the Veal was also Fresh , perhaps as you say the Chicken was a little dry , Related to the Bicycles traffic rather than Motorbikes , unfortunately in Auer historic center it's so like this , Any way I'm sorry , However if you came back to us , I assure you that I will do better , Meny greetings from Michele the Host , Ciao ciao

10/10Wanted to eat somewhere away from the busy tourist centre, within the walls. Was told there was no such thing in June in Lucca. Found this gem, lovely quiet street, could sit in or out, chose out. Had perfectly cooked king prawns for starters, and equally perfectly cooked seabass for main, delicious, as were the sides and wine. Friendly service from all the staff including the (I think) the owner, and (I think) his wife the cook. Would return if ever I'm back in Lucca.

10/10We were welcomed so nicely and felt like we had a personal server checking on us so frequently. Bread they brought out at the beginning of the meal was so delicious. My pistachio pasta dish was delicious, I wish it was bigger portion because I almost licked my plate. The owner treated us to a shot of lemoncello as we were paying the bill. House wine was actually pretty good and very affordable.

10/10We just returned from a 2 week trip to Italy and this was by far our favorite place! The family that runs this restaurant is so welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. The special pasta of the day was a pecorino pistachio cream sauce and it was out of this world. You can tell there is so much passion and love in the food and in the ambience of this restaurant. THANK YOU for an unforgettable experience. We will return when we are back in 6 months!

10/10We had a salad that had such great flavor and then I got the lasagna and my wife took the recommendation of getting a pasta dish with peccorini cheese and pistaccios. Both dishes were awesome. We ended the night wirg a homemade orangechello. Wonderful flavor and really refreshing. That is the review of the food. The thing that really set this restaurant apart was the service. The staff was there to answer questions and were very attentive to our needs. You could see that everyone really cared about us having a great dining experience. Between the food and the service, I would give this restaurant a 12 out of 10 score. Bravo!

10/10This restaurant was such a great find! As soon as we sat down the owner, Michele greeted us and welcomed us to his restaurant. I informed him that I had a gluten sensitivity and would need to know what menu options there would be. He assured me that they would take good care of me and pointed out several options for me on the menu. My husband and I both had the pasta with vodka sauce and salmon and it was fantastic! They even had a gluten free cake for dessert! He visited out table several times throughout the evening and each time it was a delight to talk with him. We will always go back when we are in Lucca!

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and feels more intimate than some on the main paths. There is a great selection of food and the staff are really passionate about the restaurant and attentive.

10/10What a fantastic experience; We had pre-booked on line and were greeted by Michele, what a lovely guy. All four of us are vegetarians, they proposed some options, which we accepted.Lovely fresh salad to share to start & different main courses & i had a lemon curd dessert which was gorgeous ! The service was fantastic, the food was brilliant, all fresh local produce. The location is lovely , we sat outside and it was perfect, We will definitely go back when we return to Lucca, Thanks again Michele & your staff :-)

10/10This little gem is the heart of Lucca. The owner, Michele is very warm and welcoming. The food is amazing as well as the service. We had lunch and went back for dinner bc we enjoyed our experience there so much. The limoncello is house made and the best we’ve had since we’ve lived in Italy. I’d you’re looking for an authentic experience, check this place out ????????

Great host friendly , welcoming and helpful. Small but it is a nice place to sit inside our outside. Our Caprese salad we shared was lovely . My perfectly cooked seabass was cooked in foil with olive oil and lemon and was delicious. My husband had the pasta with pistachios and he loved it. His semifreddo dessert was lovely too . The house white wine was nice . The restaurant offers a free glass of limoncello upon payment . Overall a very nice meal and we would recommend this restaurant

8/10The host/waiter was very warm and friendly, and basically created a (very tasty) pasta dish for me. All the food was very good, however there was a misunderstanding and my husband's secondo never arrived. There was another patron who was rudely complaining about something (I think maybe the lasagna didn't match the way he likes it?) and the staff were unflappable, very admirable.

10/10The three of us really enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere and the service was comfortable yet unobtrusive. We had 2 pasta dishes and a veal scallopini with potatoes. Excellent. Followed by tiramisu, grappa and lemoncello. A very satisfying meal. We will be back…!

10/10What a wonderful find. The host/ owner is super friendly and helpful. Great food start to finish.The pasta and bread made in house. Don't miss the frozen chocolate cake. They added a table for us as they were booked. Even brought an umbrella when it started to rain. Highly recommend.
