There were some highs and lows at Maison de la Truffe. First the highs - the service was excellent, particularly our waitress. The seared foie gras was excellent. The steak tartare was OK. The lows - the fettucine carbonara was not good - it was grainy and dry. The worst sin was that the black truffles were flavourless. The only truffle flavour in any of the dishes was conferred by truffle oil, which is clearly disappointing for a restaurant whose raison d'etre is truffles. Overall, would recommend finding your truffles at a restaurant with a focus on fine dining that happens to have truffles when they are in season.

Maison de la Truffe is always a great experience, but even more so when it’s white truffle season, as it is right now. Ambience, service and what was on the plate were all terrific.

One of our favorite restaurants in Paris. Great service, relaxed ambiance and food worth to coming back. If you love truffles we highly recommend it. Restaurant also has a store with truffle products which are very exclusive.

Unfortunately Maison de la Truffle Restaurant's experience left much to be desired. The dishes were disappointingly heavy and overly creamy, lacking depth and flavor. Although the truffles added a pleasant taste, they couldn't compensate for the overall blandness of the food. Additionally, the table was adorned with a dirty napkin, which was quite off-putting. Overall, the restaurant fell short of expectations, failing to deliver a satisfying culinary experience. I won't recommend it to anyone, as it seemed to be just hype without substance.

I feel very harassed over the booking as once booked the booking cannot be modified but can only be cancelled . I booked for Tues lunch 1pm and wanted to change to mon night at 7pm . Since I couldn’t modify I made another new booking for mon night at 7pm . The reservations were manually confirmed and the Tues lunch 1pm confirmation came first. I didn’t know what to do with the confirmation as I wanted the mon dinner to be confirmed . I tried to get my hotel to call the restaurant but it wasn’t possible to reach the restaurant . At around 6pm Mon the confirmation for the mon 7pm dinner came and the family rushed down to attend the dinner . At the same time I told the restaurant to cancel the Tues lunch appt at 1pm which was promptly done . However fork was not aware as your system did not inform fork and fork kept reminding me to attend the Tues lunch and I couldn’t inform fork that the restaurant has helped me cancel the reservations since I had dinner there already on Mon . Today ie Tues I received a stinger fr Fork that I missed the Tues lunch and they will blacklist me if I were to do this again . I find the whole experience very unpleasant and stressful . I think the booking system must enable modifications and the system needs to enable Some way of contacting both fork and the restaurant simultaneously so that I don’t get harassed by fork and also worry that I have a second booking on Tues with my credit card and it might trigger a charge on the credit card although I have already visited the restaurant on Mon for a very good dinner. I Hope u understand and empathise my experience with both Fork n the restaurant over a reservations . Best rgds

The food is very good and the staff are all friendly and professional , the atmosphere there is great. We are happy that we spent a dinner over there during our stay in Paris

We came past 3pm for a 2:30 reservation (Paris traffic) and were told that the cook who cooks meat and fish doesn’t work as if it close to the closing time of 4pm. We could choose from the menu, as long as there are no meat or fish involved. We ordered pasta with foie gras, probably the most expensive dish on the menu, and it was disappointing (seared but not at the right temperature, dry and not soft). Overall a ruined experience for what was supposed to be an epic and long awaited meal

The food was excellent, and the room had a calm and tasteful atmosphere. I loved the risotto of truffle. The fettuccine of truffle was also my favorite. However, the service was disappointing. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 pm on time for our appointment. At the entrance, we noticed that there were several staff members present. However, none of them acknowledged us or gave us a proper welcome. It seemed as though we were being ignored. If there were some reasons, they should have told us and asked us to wait for a while.

For anyone who enjoys truffles, this restaurant is a crown jewel — not only for its outstanding food and service, but also for its location at Place de la Madeleine. Nothing can beat it for a truffle lover! Be sure to reserve in advance and be prepared for a real treat!

The food was good, although not incredible and so probably overpriced. I know truffle is not cheap, but I feel like similar dishes with truffle at other restaurants are cheaper.

Service was poor. Had to repeat multiple time to order the drinks which took 20min to arrive while restaurant wasn’t crowded. Only two tables left and it also took about 15min for a coffee to arrive and an additional 15min for the check… overall disappointing service considering the price tag. Good was alright although not incredible.

The food was blow average. We were expecting a better gastronomic experience. I’m very happy I did not order the white truffle because it was very disappointing.

Come before to this restaurante years ago, not cheap but good food. Come again with family and kids, ordered starters and wine (told that had to order all food same time starters and mains), before starters arrived the manager (lady) came and told me that had to take my 11 month baby out of the restaurant because was crying to much (cold outside and baby was on antibiotics), in all my live never been asked something like that, after a while she came again and asked if I want a table outside for me and the baby while the other 5 members of family were inside, at the time part of family felt uncomfortable and didn’t want to stay any more, so we asked to cancel the mains, the manager was happy to do it so we could leave the restaurant ( had 2 table with people only), it’s a shame that some one could lead a restaurant like this cold blood as we dealing with babies, my advise the same way you put on advert NO ANIMALS ALLOWED please add NO CHILDREN ALLOWED so you don’t make other families feel discriminated like we did maybe the dogs have more rights that my baby. Thanks for ruining our last night in Paris and well done with the bad attitude and posture.

Stayed till closing, not sure anything else needs to be said. Amazing service, food, ambience, good dinner soundtrack, decent noise level, knowledgeable staff. We love it here.

Went for lunch and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The combination of flavors was impeccable. Every dish was served to perfection. Congratulations to the chef and his staff. The service was absolutely wonderful. Very special thanks to Julien!! You made our day! P.S.: black truffle chocolate candies was smth incredible!!!

It’s always a pleasure, not only to be at Maison de la Truffe, but even to anticipate being there. It’s one of my favorite stops anywhere I go. The staff are friendly and multilingual, and the food is worth the whole trip to Paris. The dining room is elegant and warm. If I owned the restaurant, I wouldn’t change a single thing.
