I’ve been to Makitails about 4 times now, with colleagues, family and friends, and it’s been consistently great every single time. The food is really delicious and quite different from what you usually find in Japanese restaurants in Geneva. It feels more creative, a bit unexpected and always very tasty. It’s one of those places you keep going back to without getting bored. Definitely recommend.

Service is excellent. The rice used for sushi is too soft/mushy... either overcooked or wrong type of rice used.

Very attentive, responsive, personable service. Cosy setting. Had a delicious raspberry lichee cocktail. Food was good. Great deal w fork discount.

The owner himself made suggestions and took out order - very special in this day and age! Oh, and the sushi was excellent too! :)

We had a great dinner. Sushi was Fresh and tasty We had spicy edamame, Korean salmon, Spicy tuna roll, Crispy skin roll, Tuna nagiri and Tuna sashimi. Although I had to chase extra ginger a couple of times, the server was very friendly and personal. The discount from Fork made it an excellent choice for a Friday night! We would go back.

If you want to visit an expensive and empty place next to the train station and to be served by a lonely janitor (a very nice young guy who doesn't speak any language and calls his boss every time he is asked a question), this is an ideal venue for you.

We've dined here several times and each visit was a hit. The sushi is fresh, the menu has a great selection, and the service is friendly. I'd highly recommend. Bonus: they're open on Sundays when many places are closed.

Excellent sushi, the quality is unmatched in Geneva! The cocktails are also very refined and tasty, sushi connaisseurs will know the difference! My favourite sushi place from now onwards! Also, I have a crush on the waiter🫠
