7.5/10The food was good, but not exceptional. The service was slow when it needed to be fast (eg. Make sure the table has its water order quickly on arrival) and fast when it should have been slow (impatient in taking order). Felt too much like we were being treated like tourists to be processed efficiently out of the door, rather than being made to feel like guests.

8/10Great food: eggplant parmigiana and seafood ravioli delicious, seafood soup very good, especially broth and swordfish but mussels too small, lemon pasta also great but could use more sauce. Service was friendly but minimal as they were very busy. There was no music and too much light so not much ambiance but who cares when the food is yummy and you have good company?! Great authentic restaurant full of locals which is always a good sign, well done.

10/10I came here twice during my 7 day stay in Taormina- once with a group of 13 people! Everything was truly delicious! Highly recommend the seafood ravioli and the lemon linguine. This place was recommended to me my friends and did not disappoint!

10/10Fantastic food with a great choice. We had gratin scampi, fillet steak, shellfish ravioli. Kids loved the spaghetti in tomato sauce. 3 courses with drinks for 4 of us for less than €200

10/10Amazing restaurant. Typical Sucilian cuisine with a good variety of food, great quality and service. Food was definitely amazing. Very close to the Duomo but in a quiet spot of Taormina.

10/10The food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant was adorable, we sat outside on the patio facing the street so we got a great view of everyone coming and going from Corso Umberto. We loved it here and would love to come back.

10/10Food was excellent, service was brilliant, ambience was so good, we have been in Sicily 10 days and eaten here twice, the best restaurant by far and it is so reasonably priced. Will be returning on next visit, all food is made by the owners Mother in small kitchen in the back and boy can she cook. Delicious

5.5/10Very average experience. Tomato salad is just raw tomato. No seasoning, no dressing. Pasta was okey-ish. You can probably cook better pasta at home, but it eas edible. All in all, pretty weak experience.

dear Sebastian, thanks for your review it's definitely the first time you've eaten in a restaurant, you've eaten all your wages, if you order a tomato salad it's normal that you get a raw tomato salad, otherwise you order a tomato soup if you want it cooked, there were no condiments? So what were the oil, salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar that were on the table for, just to fill the table? It's very expensive to eat and pay €48.50 for two?

9/10Food was fantastic, great value for the quality, wine list and drinks also superb. The atmosphere was very busy and lively, the service was super friendly but a little slow, but for sure this was probably only due to being so busy, people were queueing outside (good sign!) , so we did not mind :)

9.5/10Ate at Malvasia twice in quick succession because the food is so freshly prepared, there's an excellent choice and the half carafe of vino rosso was delicious - and at only 8 euros a real treat. The pricing overall for a tourist town was spot-on, Highly recommended.

4/10Heard stories about good taste and large meals. Received mediocre food and small portions. The green salad is better done in US fast food. Had to send back the main dish (the fish tasted staled). Had to correct the bill. I would not recommend.

8/10Delighted to find this place. Off the main drag, very full on a Sunday evening, with reasonable prices. Recommended white wine (€24 bottle) excellent. Starter, main and coffee for three :€137. Good, medium-priced meal.

3.5/10Server was upset when we showed up at 6:30 PM that was our reservation time. She said they will not open until 7 pm but then reluctantly let us come in when a manager confirmed our reservation. She remained incredibly rude entire time. We should have left retrospectively but stayed for the good review. Food was only average. She made our dinner miserable. Stay away from this place.

8.5/10The reviews of the Tiramisu are correct. Amazing. Very busy. Long wait even with reservations, but worth it. Honestly, the best part was the grappa, but the food is quite good.

6/10Table we were offered was at back of restaurant inside by the toilet - we requested a move to a table nearer the door but we’re told it was reserved even though it was identical to the one we were seated at. Later it became clear as the table was rearranged for a different number of diners this wasn’t the case. Far too noisy to enjoy a meal as you couldn’t hold a conversation. Menu similar to other better places in Taormina

10/10We have visited Malvasia for a number of years, it’s a brilliant family run restaurant. The food is fantastic and the staff are lovely, often mama is there cooking, we have never been disappointed, highly recommended.

8/10We are a family of 5 with very individual tastes and all of us had an excellent meal at Malvasia. The cooking was faultless. My son especially enjoyed the hand made pasta in a melzane tomato sauce.

4/10Worse meal we had in our week in Taormina. Bland and tasteless caprese salad and even worse spaghetti vongele. Service hit and miss, horribly loud and tables crammed in. Avoid, there’s much better places to eat.

10/10This restaurant was recommended by a friend who owns several Italian restaurants in Mexico, our expectations where very high, and they where greatly surpassed, the food is amazing, service great, and served in very fashionable time. We where a family, and our kids specially enjoyed there food.
