10/10First time having Indonesian food. We ordered the rice table which had 15 different dishes. Food was amazing! Service was great. Highly recommend this restaurant

7.5/10Service was absent: wait staff was insufficient to manage the room, we were constantly disregarded, and left disappointed. Food was good and the ambience very nice, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

9/10We really enjoyed our night out at this restaurant. The food was good. The customer service was excellent. Liked the little touch of the Indonesian dancers. My only criticism was that the food in the little bowls got cold very quickly but on the whole we loved our first ever rijsttafel.

3/10We had a reservation but the host try to put us in the bar, very rude. Then, made us wait in the bar. It is too expensive for such a rude and sloppy service.

7/10The restaurant is very beautifully designed. Food was nice and tasty but tourist oriented, hardly spicy, didn't feel authentic. It is a set menu, the whole table gets a whole bunch of dishes. Service was OK but a bit slow and not too attentive.

8/10Nice restaurant with good interior. Food was good but not mind blowing. Very nice balance with flavours. None of the portions were super hot, though nice amount of chili. Service was quick and friendly. Would recommend this restaurant.

4.5/10"Overpriced & cold food with below average service" The interior of the restaurant is nice and gives a luxurious feeling. But that is the last luxurious thing we experienced. The food was kind of average (worse than most of the restaurants I have experienced) and it is not served on a heated plateau so you are ending up eating everything cold practically. The service gives a feeling of "being tolerated" rather being welcome. Do we recommend this place? Absolutely not, there are plenty of better Indonesian restaurants, even in a close neighbourhood.

5/10They will force you to purchase the rice table for each member of your party at 44 euros per person, even if one of your party is a youth who wouldn't eat most of the dishes.

6.5/10The food was really quite good, and plenty for our big-appetite group. The cocktails are overpriced. The room is nice if a bit generic, but the service was pretty bad. It seems to be a management or lack of management issue, or no systems. People would redundantly come to check on us, but then nobody would actually come to deliver on a request for water, or another drink, etc. At one point we waited 20 minutes for a 2nd cocktail, and then when delivered it was not the correct one. This escalated to absurdity when the bartender came over and told us we were wrong. We shrugged and said, whatever. Mysteriously, the right drinks were then delivered 5 minutes later.

5.5/10Really disappointed here. This so-called up scale restaurant served "rijsttafel" ( A Dutch created dish based on Indonesian ingredients) was simply not up to par. The rice was far too sticky and it felt like not fresh ingredients were used. What was even more disappointing is that when wanting to pay a tip for the excellent service, I asked whether the personnel would receive this - well no - it goes directly to the hotel! You should be ashamed of yourself

10/10Brilliant service and the food sharing platter was amazing! Staff knew we were celebrating our engagement and gave us Prosecco on the house Definitely recommend this place for great food and service and we will be back again! Thank you mama makan!

6/10We have known Mama Makan since the opening of the hotel and restaurant and bar, and have visited often over the years, enjoying different types of menu’s and seasons. We were not as pleased last night with the service, it was like we were passers-by in a busy brasserie somewhere, and we would have expected more hospitality. The atmosphere was rushed and this time also too dark, there was not enough attention to explain what was presented, we didn’t even get offered (or offered to order) some kroepoek upon arrival, only the first three people arriving, and drinks (specialty cocktails) didn’t come or didn’t include all ingredients! I believe once we ordered rijsttafel for 8 persons for EUR 42,- pp it was a done deal and we weren’t worth more attention. I will think twice before returning, though the food is good enough, Personnel could have gotten a lot more from us if there had been some attention and we were mainly told of what wasn’t possible for instance when we asked to box up the leftovers (we had to do it ourselves, in an upscale hotel-restaurant!), and when we asked to order something with the coffee and tea we were told spekkoek was only for breakfast.. The dessert menu is rather limited and could offer more variants like fresh fruit and tjendol or something. I had also been confirmed twice by the restaurant and prior to the dinner I explained them we would only be one party of 8, not two and that they knew something had gone wrong when they marked the pending reservation as confirmed. I spoke to three people telling them please know that I received two confirmations, I didn’t want them to send others away while they waited for a group that was already there, yet mid-dinner I received a call asking where our party of 8 was .. well, we were mid-rijsttafel.

7.5/10The food was great but the service was very slow. We were informed in advance that there is a delay in the kitchen but we thought it’ll be 15-20 mins. We had to wait over an hour for our dinner which tainted the experience.
