Nice restaurant, good service, the food was good the rijsttafel, easy to make it from good to great by adding some extra dishes like egg, satay with sauce, atjar, gado gado, seroendeng or some other not to complex and easy to add dishes, bit more dishes and larger portion as a total would make it a ‘come back often’ for us.

Booked this from reviews on The Fork, but found a lot wanting. Was expecting great Indonesian food but the food was just OK. Quality and quantity was good but taste was just average.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. The service was excellent. Half of our table love spicy food and half of our table did not tolerate spice,and everybody left very happy. The restaurant is also very wheelchair accessible.

very comfortable dining place. spacious, friendly staff and refined food. I invited my family 7 people to eat Indonesian style ricetable. food was refined enough and well appreciated by my well travelled family who knows how a good dish.smells and tastes.

The food was great and also the service. The decor and ambiance in the restaurant is very nice. One comment to make as we took the rijstafel for 2, the portions were small for 2 persons. other than that the food tasted delicious.

The restaurant is so great. It should be a master class is calm ambience and lighting. We loved our food so much and the service was great. It’s hip, delicious and a great date night!

Great rijsttafel and service from a kind and experienced lady from argentina. She also advised a fantastic ananas dessert. A perfect dinner "experience" with my daughter.

Modern takes on the Traditional. Good flavours. Nice option if you want a more focused Rijstaffel as it's not too overwhelming. I still over-ate. Desserts and Cocktails were Amazing.

Great experience. Friendly, professional staff, nice atmosphere and above all, excellent food. Restaurant was busy, especially for a week night. We wanted to try the Rijsttafel but the only question was whether two servings would be too much for us. Our waiter helped us and we opted for one serving, with extra stay sticks - chicken, mushroom and tofu, to share. Food was quickly served and we enjoyed every single dish. The sauces and accompaniments had a depth of flavour that set them apart. We had previously tried the dish at another restaurant and it was hit and miss. The open kitchen at Mama Makan was also interesting and all the staff were friendly. All in all, a great experience.

Horrible experience in this restaurant. The waiter forgot us for an hour between the starter and the dish. When the dishes arrive, one is missing. Out of the question of waiting another hour. He offers us to offer us the coffees when we have not yet ordered the desserts. Finally we never had the dessert menu. Arrived at 7 p.m. ends at 10 p.m. without dessert or coffee. The waiter did not have the courage to bring the bill, it was his colleague who came. The next day we talked about it at the hotel reception. The manager had to contact us... we've been waiting for two weeks... advice go there for the food not for the service
