10/10Great restaurant and amazing staff, we had dinner there and plates were absolutely delicious, it was an amazing experience and we really enjoyed everything. I strongly recommend this restaurant. We will repeat another time before we leave Florence.

9.5/10Had previously been to the two Mama Gina Restaurants in S. California and always wanted to get to the original - crossed off my bucket list. Food was great as always just missed the seafood we used to get in Newport Beach!

10/10Each time I come to Florence eat at Mama Gina’s. They welcome you warmly, the food is always good and the service is always good. It’s not super fancy and it’s not super casual so you can go in there and be comfortable after marching around the city for the day. I highly recommend it.

10/10We came here for dinner on a Sunday night. Our family of 4 had an amazing meal. The beef carpaccio was excellent as was everything else. The service was great and the staff were wonderful. We really appreciated their patience with our 3 1/2 year old son .

9.5/10I was here 25 years ago and it was as amazing now as it was then. Be sure to as for the fried zucchini blossoms if you’re here in summer. We had the fried rabbit which was fantastic as was the tagliatelle with wild boar. Don’t miss this. After dinner walk to the Piazza di Michelangelo for a beautiful sunset view of the city.

9/10We wanted to find a place that wasn’t all tourists and this place was recommended. We wanted to sit somewhere that had local flavor. When we arrived we were ushered into a nondescript back room that was all tourists! Food was good and our waitress was good but that was disappointing.

10/10I first came to Mama Gina's in 1991 on my first trip to Italy and have returned several times since. Last night's meal was just as delicious as the first. We had a delicious starter salad two pasta and an eggplant Parmesan that could not be beat. The service is welcoming and friendly as well as helpful. Put this on your list of places to try And Florence

10/10We loved it here. We are cooks, and love really good pasta and Italian food. I recommend the Tortellacci with truffle, parmesan fondue and chopped Bronte pistachio- honestly one of the best meals I've had in my life! We might even go back again before we leave Florence. Staff was pleasant and gave good recommendations. We shared the meatballs as well, also delicious.

7.5/10This restaurant was recommended by a local who said it was “very romantic “ as we were celebrating an occasion. Did not find the ambience romantic at all. The decor is sparse and lighting too bright for an evening meal. Service was ok. We had to ask our server to bring olive oil & ground pepper which should be standard. We arrived when it was empty although filled up later. The food was good but not outstanding.

3/10Terrible food, excessive cover charge (€3.50) and price of drinks (€4 for a cappuccino) to make up for the 30% discount. Dishes were very salty and of poor quality. I was brought a dish which I had not ordered and they also tried to charge me for it at the end of the meal on top of the food I had actually ordered. If you want to eat decent food, I would recommend you avoid this restaurant.
