Each time I come to Florence eat at Mama Gina’s. They welcome you warmly, the food is always good and the service is always good. It’s not super fancy and it’s not super casual so you can go in there and be comfortable after marching around the city for the day. I highly recommend it.

We came here for dinner on a Sunday night. Our family of 4 had an amazing meal. The beef carpaccio was excellent as was everything else. The service was great and the staff were wonderful. We really appreciated their patience with our 3 1/2 year old son .

I was here 25 years ago and it was as amazing now as it was then. Be sure to as for the fried zucchini blossoms if you’re here in summer. We had the fried rabbit which was fantastic as was the tagliatelle with wild boar. Don’t miss this. After dinner walk to the Piazza di Michelangelo for a beautiful sunset view of the city.

The food wasn't cheap and tasted okay. I booked a reservation with 30% discount that they ignored at check-out. There are better places to visit.

We wanted to find a place that wasn’t all tourists and this place was recommended. We wanted to sit somewhere that had local flavor. When we arrived we were ushered into a nondescript back room that was all tourists! Food was good and our waitress was good but that was disappointing.

I first came to Mama Gina's in 1991 on my first trip to Italy and have returned several times since. Last night's meal was just as delicious as the first. We had a delicious starter salad two pasta and an eggplant Parmesan that could not be beat. The service is welcoming and friendly as well as helpful. Put this on your list of places to try And Florence

Interior of the restaurant was appealing. Well-lit and tables appropriately apart. Staff were engaging and efficient. The food was well-seasoned. The house red wine was good.

We loved it here. We are cooks, and love really good pasta and Italian food. I recommend the Tortellacci with truffle, parmesan fondue and chopped Bronte pistachio- honestly one of the best meals I've had in my life! We might even go back again before we leave Florence. Staff was pleasant and gave good recommendations. We shared the meatballs as well, also delicious.
