The food was ok-ish. 2 of the dishes had an odd smell, that we think it was from the onions.

The place is very nice and the staff is lovely. The food is good but it is very expensive for what we've had. 110€/pers for the menu+Pairing wine. What make us disappointed is that some plates were broken (for the price we've paid it is not acceptable). The worst was the mosquitoes. We're not talking about 1 or 2 but dozen biting during the diner. There is a little pond in the garden, the perfect place for them to reproduce. The hotel must find a way because it is a health issue. Portuguese people even said to report it to ASAE.

+1Our server was very attentive and provided an excellent experience. The food was excellent, presentation original and nice. We celebrated my birthday and they really took good care of us and even gave us a cake and surprise at the end, I felt very spoiled 🥰 Will definitely recommend!

Such a beautiful location. Waiter was so nice... Food is delicious, we loved the deep fried octopus... Wanna come back and stay for a couple days on the hotel

The venue was just magnificent...and the food was just as sublime. I had seabass "rissotto" that was so fresh and wonderful. Of course, I had a glass of wine with that and the server just left the rest of the bottle because there was a bit left. Nice touch. We'll be back

Everything was superb, good starters, that garoupa was something else, so good! ambience with live music made our evening more special, the musician is top.

Nice restaurant inside the hotel

The location is lovely and the menu reads well. Our starters took an extremely long time but were good when they eventually arrived. Main courses were all cold, we asked to have some dishes heated and when they came back to the table they were just a fraction warmer. The staff gave us free deserts which was a nice gesture but other experience was done by then. Wonderful live music!

I would not go back. Learning that an exciting menu doesn't mean it is good. The blood sausage balls were good but our other starter, carpacio bites were tasteless. Same with the beetroot risotto. Had to heap salt on to get any flavor except watery rice. My husband's duck was delicious though. Deconstructed cheesecake for dessert was okay but the other, which was described as coffee mouse, custard, ice cream, was an ugly mess of frozen disaster. It was so frozen that we couldn't even stab a spoon through it. We told the waitress but she said it is supposed to be that way. So that was left in the bowl untouched.

Always Excellent Food & Service. Its a beautiful place, very tranquil with their own green house. We will definitely go back. I would love to try the tasting menu.

If you are looking for a nice evening out in a nice atmosphere, good food, service and live entertainment, go to Maria Patata You have to drive a bit, but it's worth it

Excellent ambience and an interesting concept. Sadly one of our orders was a duck confit that arrived really undercooked and was sent back to come back only ever so slightly more done. The other dishes did not outlive our expectations. There was a superb live musician that made the whole night a great experience, plus the location is very pleasant.

Only then did she conclude her call and ask if we wished to file a complaint, offering us a complaints book. I want to emphasize that our intention was never to file a complaint or escalate the situation further. All we wanted was to settle the bill and leave. The lack of acknowledgment and the extended delay left us feeling somewhat disheartened after an otherwise outstanding dining experience at Maria Batata Restaurante. In light of this, I sincerely hope that the management of Maria Batata Restaurante takes this feedback constructively and addresses the issue promptly. The professionalism and exceptional service exhibited by the majority of the staff deserve recognition and preservation. Nice food, service a bit erratic, but beware of the mosquitoes, they are everywhere, including inside the restaurant. Service is slow, especially the time taken to produce the bill and pay.

One of the best restaurants in the area. Food is amazing, attention is 5 stars and is dog friendly. Was a great lunch with my family.

Nice place, a bit outdated. A bit disappointment about the food…. The piglets (really small portion) were cold and stil not really hot when returned to the kitchen. The chicken breast was okay. The plates look great but again not really hot. Appetizer octopus was really good. Black pudding also good, but not really hot.

A real surprise for us having been living in the region for 7 years and only just discovering this lovely restaurant. Think €70/couple including house wine for three courses each. Well cooked and innovative. We’ll be back..

Great ambience. Good food. Steak was divine. A bright spot and a different type of restaurant in the silver coast. Pricey compared to local Portuguese cuisine around Obidos / Caldas.

We could not have chosen better. The place itself is so innovative and special. The dining experience should include a solo walk around the hotel, the shop, the garden, the swimming pool etc to understand the such special place you are at. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding and the crew working there are so nice, professional and willing to help at all times. We will definitely return back in the future when in Obidos. Do not hesitate! This is your place to be!

The food is good and the setting lovely, but the service doesn’t match the place. It’s confused at best, perhaps overwhelmed, and our server had little knowledge of either the food or wine. Eventually, our table was completely ignored. After some time, another server partly cleared our finished meal. At least another 30 minutes passed before anyone came over to adk about dessert. Our original server never came back.

Too expensive for the food quality. The place and restaurant is beautiful, great design but the food was not at same level.

Fabulous ambiance. Food was all excellent not pretentious not gourmet but all around good. The place is in the middle of nowhere but is well accomplished.
