2/10Hello. The experience is disappointing. After a day of tiring travel, I arrived at the reservation at the fixed time, confirmed by email and whatsapp with the owner of the place. We were informed at the door of the restaurant that our table (4 people) is no longer available. This refusal happens at 8pm😌. In the end, we were transferred to another restaurant, Tasca da Bela, where the food was a fiasco. in short, it was a missed evening.

10/10Last evening together with my friends have spent a wonderful time at Maria da Mouraria Casa de Fado, and it was truly a memorable experience. The atmosphere of the place is intimate and authentic, perfect for immersing yourself in the soulful world of fado. The performers were exceptional, conveying deep emotion with each note, and their talent left a lasting impression. 10/10Just returned from a wonderful experience. First visit to Portugal and to a Fado and it did not disppoint. The food was high quality and service exceptional, I could not fault a thing. The singing was the stand out and a special mention to the female singer, I could listen to her voice for eternity. Thank you.

9.5/10This was an amazing experience. They set you with just a few other groups. The Fado performers come in and do a few pieces at a time. It’s very close and very intimate. You can tell they love their art. It’s a great way to experience that piece of their culture. They serve 3 courses. All delicious. They keep your glass full and are available for questions and requests. Our server Carlos was great.

10/10What a wonderful evening. The meal was wonderful, fish so fresh and freshly grilled. Everything authentically Portuguese. The Fado was just what we we looking for, moving and very entertaining. All around great experience and well worth the twists and turns it takes to walk there from the center of town. .

5/10Food and service was average, nothing outstanding at all. We had to wait 30 minutes between dishes to get them served so it took almost 3h to finish the dinner. It’s also overpriced. We will not come back.

10/10Maria da Mouraria Casa Fados was even more than we expected! what a wonderful experience we had. We were amazed how the waiter could serve so many of us just by himself and how all went so smoothly. Beautiful, clean ambience, great food and the fados singers and players were excellent. Thank you for a very memorable night.

10/10We decided to book this restaurant, because it is located in The House of legendary fado queen Maria Severa. The interior is very small (only few tables), but nice and pleasant. The service is great. You have degustation menu here with apetizers, main course and desert. The three course meal was very good - a wide range of small dishes to start, mains of fish, vegetarian or meat and a choice of five desserts. There were three fado performances, with two great guitarists and two different singers, all very impressive. This was a really memorable evening and good value at 50 euros each (cash only).

8.5/10The restaurant is very small and it was a pity several people who had booked tables did not arrive, but service was very pleasant, fish meals enjoyable and above all fado performances, the main reason we went there, were great.

10/10At the heart of the real authentic Lisbon, a truly fantastic place. One is made to feel home immediately, the food and the drinks are very generous and the fado singers and musicians are just.... there are no words, come and enjoy !

8.5/10Small and intimate restaurant with a feel of home. I felt relaxed and welcome and once the music started I was completely encompassed by the emotion of the song. This is not just about the food, this is about the history and the understanding of the Portuguese people. A wonderful experience!

8/10The restaurant was adorable and the staff was very attentive. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre. I understand completely that this is for tourists, of which I am one, but for the 50€ price I will take better quality over quantity which is what was provided. I’m glad I went, but don’t expect a stellar meal.

10/10The restaurant is tiny and the people are packed in but this contributes to the atmosphere. We were early and invited to savour a drink outside overlooking the courtyard where we surveyed a frenetic preparation of fires and food in the restaurants below. When we arrived at our table, we were impressed by the array of starters and the beautifully table. That set a precedent for what followed - delicious seafood chosen from a sizable menu, red and white wine and we had a delicious mango dessert. The service was impressive, attentive and personal and of course, the fado singers were sincere, soulful and skilled. We left feeling very satisfied that we had experienced authentic Portuguese food and Fado. It is a must for anyone’s first visit to Lisbon.

10/10Wonderful experience all round.. the food was delicious and incredibly good value, the service was excellent and there was even a show - 2 short performances with guitars and singing of traditional Portuguese songs. Would highly recommend it.

10/10Service and staff were excellent. Entres were generous and quality was fine. This is a fado with dinner club. Often the food suffers in such places, but not in the case of Maria da Mouraria.

10/10Very special place for Fado- several wonderful musicians played gorgeous guitar and sang movingly. The service and ambience were warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. Highly recommended for a terrific evening of dinner and Fado music.
