7.5/10The setup is wonderful but the tables and chairs are extremely uncomfortable making it difficult to enjoy food and music during a long evening. The reservation was for 20:15 and while the tables were already set with some vegetable starters our main was served after the first fado act at 2130. So dinner came very late. The staff are excellent and warm they make sure your glass of wine is topped up constantly. It's difficult to immerse yourself in the fado experience if the sitting is not comfortable and this also depends on the table and the angle as the room is very small. When the fado act starts you have to stop eating otherwise the noise disrupts the experience, lights are dimmed and a dark atmosphere prevails and while this is great, it's best to have finished your dinner beforehands. I loved the food but it was difficult to digest afterwards. Let them know beforehands if you refrain from salt and fat (olive oil and butter) because their plates have both in abundance.

10/10The experience is a ‘must-do’ in Lisbon. The music transports you to another place. The food options provide something for everyone. The service was impeccable!! Highly recommended!

10/10The place is really nice, very traditional and the staff is amazing… The food was really good too and the fado show was definitely speechless, it’s something you cannot miss if you come in Portugal. If you’re planning a trip to Lisbon, spend a night here, it’ll be worth it!

Hello. The experience is disappointing. After a day of tiring travel, I arrived at the reservation at the fixed time, confirmed by email and whatsapp with the owner of the place. We were informed at the door of the restaurant that our table (4 people) is no longer available. This refusal happens at 8pm😌. In the end, we were transferred to another restaurant, Tasca da Bela, where the food was a fiasco. in short, it was a missed evening.

10/10Last evening together with my friends have spent a wonderful time at Maria da Mouraria Casa de Fado, and it was truly a memorable experience. 10/10Just returned from a wonderful experience. First visit to Portugal and to a Fado and it did not disppoint. The food was high quality and service exceptional, I could not fault a thing. The singing was the stand out and a special mention to the female singer, I could listen to her voice for eternity. Thank you.

9.5/10This was an amazing experience. They set you with just a few other groups. The Fado performers come in and do a few pieces at a time. It’s very close and very intimate. You can tell they love their art. It’s a great way to experience that piece of their culture. They serve 3 courses. All delicious. They keep your glass full and are available for questions and requests. Our server Carlos was great.

10/10What a wonderful evening. The meal was wonderful, fish so fresh and freshly grilled. Everything authentically Portuguese. The Fado was just what we we looking for, moving and very entertaining. All around great experience and well worth the twists and turns it takes to walk there from the center of town. .

5/10Food and service was average, nothing outstanding at all. We had to wait 30 minutes between dishes to get them served so it took almost 3h to finish the dinner. It’s also overpriced. We will not come back.
