10/10The service we receive from Barbara was superb! She was very friendly and even helped me with my Portuguese! The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely revisit this lovely restaurant again.

10/10+1it's a hidden gem. the atmosphere is lovely. the host is passionate and friendly. good was quick. quality and execution of food was a huge surprise. it was magical. this place exceeded my expectations. I will be back.

10/10Not to be missed. We stopped here for lunch on our way from Lisbon to Porto. So glad we did because the dishes were delicious We. Had mussels, codfish mixed with chick peas and a meat dish. All were superb.

10/10This was our first visit with good friends, to Maria XICA's Restaurant and we couldn't be more pleased. The menu had a wonderful array of delicious menu choices, making it difficult to decide. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and the ambiance was lovely. We had our pup with us and the mgmt accommodated Bella in their comfortable outdoor seating. After sharing bites we all decided Maria XICA is a 5* restaurant and plans are forthcoming to return. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Maria, the owner and chef, stopped by our table to ask if we were enjoying our meal. She is very sweet and her visit was a nice touch to our lunch date.

8/10The restaurant was very quiet in fact we were the only table seated inside at 19:30. We ordered a mixed board of cheese hams sausage olives and bread and it was faultless, the individual components were delicious and the food was presented beautifully. For our main we ordered the spiced beef ( Woodpecker) … the pickled vegetables were okay, a little strong in vinegar. The beef was a tad disappointing… cubes of beef that had been cut from joint and cooked through. There was no visible fat on the meat so was a little bland but it needed more slow cooking to tenderise it further as it was still a little chewy. The hand cut chips and the garlic and red cabbage dip were lovely. For dessert we had the berry panna cotta which was enjoyable and again very well presented. Overall a very good meal. They do not take Mastercard or Visa from outside of Portugal so take cash if visiting from abroad like us. Overall a solid 8/10

10/10We had pica pau and ovos rotos, portions were very generous and the service by Sara was outstanding. We certainly enjoyed our meal and will return in the future :)

10/10Really lovely place. We had booked a table inside which looked very cosy but as it was mild we sat outside so we could have our dog with us. Very good food, very friendly waitress (we shared cuttlefish, pica pau and octopus salad). We will definitely go back.

10/10Fabulous service, we love Sara and the owner also stopped by to check in. The sangria is delicious by the glass, best salads I've had in Portugal, tapas are delightful, delicious beef steak, tasty peppers and bacon, mussels and more. Nice ambiance and great hours. Outside patio as well. One of our favorite restaurants in town!

10/10This is a very nice restaurant near the station of Caldas da Rainha. Very friendly staff and the food is magnificent from starters (tapas) till dessert. Even the chef comes and ask if everything is ok. I will certainly come back again.

10/10Very well cooked food, well presented, gourmet style, yet dispretencious. Very Cousy atmosphere, combining modern decor with a touch of rustic. Very thoughtful service, always alert for every need of the costumers, without harassment. We will return with our family for a more lazy meal, perhaps brunch on a weekend.

10/10We really enjoyed our visit to Maria Xica. We ate inside the restaurant, which is very pretty. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food: burger with fries and tuna salad were excellent quality. (Great value too by using The Fork offer.) Thank you to the ladies who took care of us! We look forward to visiting again.

10/10We really enjoyed our lunch. We chose it as it had a nice outdoor patio and were walking our dog. Also they had eggs benedict on the menu, which is a comfort food for me. THe service was fast and friendly. We will be back

10/10We went to this cute little restaurant because of the great reviews on The Fork, and all I can say, the reviews were 100% accurate! The service was polite and attentive, the atmosphere was calming, and the quality of the dishes were simply amazing. Definitely will be stopping by again, next time I'm in Portgual!!

8.5/10Very surprising location, and we hesitate to go in. Very friendly host, and place looks more like a bar/sushi place. Menu is short, and we ended up taking a large selection of the tapa's and snacks, eating the platter (definitely recommend it), the veal, burger, etc. with a bottle of wine at 9 eur. Very good food, and very friendly service, which turned a at first negative impression into a very enjoyable evening.
