5 stars service. Wonderful location. Perfect restaurant on a sunny day in Cascais Center by the beach having fish and seafood on the beautiful terrace. Lots of choice on the menu. Highly recomended.

A lot of time waiting....a lot! Food not so good

Very friendly service There was a powercut in the street where the restaurant is located halfway through our meal. Our waiter made a great effort to provide illumination (leaving his own mobile phone on the table to provide illumination) so that we could see what we were eating! Our fish main course was excellent. However, the "bought in" ice cream based desert was a little disappointing.

We had a great time at Mariscaria! It had great outdoor seating and wasn’t too crowded. The food was excellent. I had the sea bass, my husband and son had the octopus, and my 10 year old had the kiddie meal - which came with a dessert he loved. Everyone loved their main courses. The mussels & shrimp were so good as an appetizer. Highly recommend!

Sure! Here’s a shorter, more natural version: ⸻ We loved our time at Mariscaria! Fred and Paulo were so kind and friendly! they made us feel really welcome. The sangria was the best we’ve had, and the food was absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

We have dined here a few times over the years. It is great to come back to as the food is fresh and beautifully prepared, and the service is perfect.

Food was good but we were 2 of 3 people eating in the restaurant for quite a while, no atmosphere. Restaurant next door very busy and popular.

Served us food different from what we ordered. Served the wrong food at the table next to us. Served us a wine different what we ordered and then tried to charge us over twice the amount of our original wine cost. Didn't trust paying with a credit card to paid adjusted bill and got slipped a pound coin in change rater than euro. Other than that, food was OK.

Was hoping for a good seafood soup and very disappointed that it was basically a tomato soup with “specs” of so called seafood, compared to fish soups elsewhere was a huge disappointment and server said it’s “minced” and no offer to correct. Then also with the main fish dish of sea bream the potatoes were not fully cooked and warm at best. Definitely a disappointment and would not recommend.

Probably the most delicious fish luncheon I have ever enjoyed in my entire life (and there have been many of them!)

Was here sunday noon with a friend. at 12:30. First guests. Ordered wine, two starters, two mains. The ordered wine was not available, in the end the alternative wine recommendation was 10€ more expensive and only mediocre. After 1 1/2 hours waiting time I asked for the starters. One maincourse was delivered. They forgot or ignored the order of two starters and one maincourse! Unbelievable. The very friendly waiter was supposedly slightly drunk or uncapable. We had to share the spider crab which was good. Left the restaurant with anger and disappointed. Seems to be a tourist restaurant. Dont go there. The staff of the shown website does not correspond with our todays experience.

Disappointing and expensive for what you're served. Sea food had no taste at all and mussels and shrimps on the "Mariscada" dish for 2 people were really tiny, Really far from the quality of food that Portugal is famous for...

Purely touristic restaurant. Really disappointed. Not even a friendly service . I definetely do not recommend it. The worst restaurant I have been in Portugal!

I booked way in advance and no reply. Suddenly 20 min before booking time, email asking us for confirmation. The seafood was average, nothing in particular worth to mention.

We enjoyed the grilled seafood platter including lobsters . Very friendly staff who showed me how to eat barnacles … a local specialty !

If I can give you one advice, it would be to go to the next door (restaurant o pescador) which is much better at all levels: food, price and service.

Was very disappointed with the fried octopus I choose. The vegetables were lukewarm and it didn’t have a great deal of flavour. One of the party ordered tuna steak and the waiter didn’t even ask how it we wanted it cooked and we had to ask for it to be medium/rare. When it arrived it was more medium/well done and looked quite dry and not very appealing. The other two guests in the party had the seafood rice which they thoroughly enjoyed. There was a tv in the restaurant and there was rather a violent/bloody film playing which was not really suitable when eating. The staff were pleasant, and the place was cleaned, however I would not visit again or recommend as there are better places to eat in Cascais.

The food was good The service was marginal. Our waiter spent more time talking with the other staff than servicing us. Dirty dishes were left until we flagged the waiter to remove them.

Good restaurant in Cascais. Basic local food and wine at a reasonable price. A bit disappointed by the Mascaria platter for two but many of the other dishes looked good. House recommendation on wine was also good.

Lovely little restaurant with very generous portions. Great drink selection. Food was delicious. Wait staff very friendly. Would return any time.

Ok but lacking appeal. The food was nice with good flavour but it didn’t jump off the plate. Service was good but again felt mechanical, no real warmth

When I saw they charged for butter, I should have turned back. So, I proceeded cautiously and ordered 4 raw oysters which were fine, and steamed shrimp that were okay, one glass of wine. Not worth the 30€. I cut bait at that point and left.

Enjoyed our meals, had no complaints. The outdoor dining was perfect, and tables were not crammed together like so many restaurants in Cascais are. All in all, a most pleasant experience.

Menu was very good - not too wide - which is never a good thing in my experience. Grilled fish options are good value - food well cooked and nice simple salad. Staff very friendly. Definitely recommend if you like your fish.
