6/10Food was good but we were 2 of 3 people eating in the restaurant for quite a while, no atmosphere. Restaurant next door very busy and popular.

4.5/10Served us food different from what we ordered. Served the wrong food at the table next to us. Served us a wine different what we ordered and then tried to charge us over twice the amount of our original wine cost. Didn't trust paying with a credit card to paid adjusted bill and got slipped a pound coin in change rater than euro. Other than that, food was OK.

Dear Sir we are very Very Sorry for that happened because of one service employee I send him home because of this issue I was there and I saw that all things I am the manager of the Mariscaria Restaurant. And I more time say really sorry for that day.

5.5/10Was hoping for a good seafood soup and very disappointed that it was basically a tomato soup with “specs” of so called seafood, compared to fish soups elsewhere was a huge disappointment and server said it’s “minced” and no offer to correct. Then also with the main fish dish of sea bream the potatoes were not fully cooked and warm at best. Definitely a disappointment and would not recommend.

5/10Was here sunday noon with a friend. at 12:30. First guests. Ordered wine, two starters, two mains. The ordered wine was not available, in the end the alternative wine recommendation was 10€ more expensive and only mediocre. After 1 1/2 hours waiting time I asked for the starters. One maincourse was delivered. They forgot or ignored the order of two starters and one maincourse! Unbelievable. The very friendly waiter was supposedly slightly drunk or uncapable. We had to share the spider crab which was good. Left the restaurant with anger and disappointed. Seems to be a tourist restaurant. Dont go there. The staff of the shown website does not correspond with our todays experience.

5/10Disappointing and expensive for what you're served. Sea food had no taste at all and mussels and shrimps on the "Mariscada" dish for 2 people were really tiny, Really far from the quality of food that Portugal is famous for...

6.5/10I booked way in advance and no reply. Suddenly 20 min before booking time, email asking us for confirmation. The seafood was average, nothing in particular worth to mention.

9.5/10I have been seeking Percebes (goose barnacles) for over 20 years. I found them here for a very reasonable rate and they were amazing with the flavor of clams (sort of) and the essence of the Atlantic Ocean. The service was very good even though the restaurant was full (make reservation). Furthermore, the location in the town of Cascais was a joy to stroll through, and the park/arboretum is beautiful and informative. You fulfilled a gastrnomique wish. Obrigado!

5/10If I can give you one advice, it would be to go to the next door (restaurant o pescador) which is much better at all levels: food, price and service.

5/10Was very disappointed with the fried octopus I choose. The vegetables were lukewarm and it didn’t have a great deal of flavour. One of the party ordered tuna steak and the waiter didn’t even ask how it we wanted it cooked and we had to ask for it to be medium/rare. When it arrived it was more medium/well done and looked quite dry and not very appealing. The other two guests in the party had the seafood rice which they thoroughly enjoyed. There was a tv in the restaurant and there was rather a violent/bloody film playing which was not really suitable when eating. The staff were pleasant, and the place was cleaned, however I would not visit again or recommend as there are better places to eat in Cascais.

7/10The food was good The service was marginal. Our waiter spent more time talking with the other staff than servicing us. Dirty dishes were left until we flagged the waiter to remove them.

8/10Good restaurant in Cascais. Basic local food and wine at a reasonable price. A bit disappointed by the Mascaria platter for two but many of the other dishes looked good. House recommendation on wine was also good.

7.5/10Nice restaurant, good service. We had gazpacho to start with - not sure if it was home made. We then shared a fisherman’s platter of fish. The fish was really tasty but not very hot, I wonder if it had been sat in the kitchen before coming out. Other people’s seafood looked great so I don’t want to put people off going.

7/10The service was very good but most tables are outside and it was windy. There is a section on the menu titled 'so good you'll want more', which was true but mostly because the portions were so small . The grilled squid consisted of five small squid the size of finger puppets. They were very tasty and adequate for a starter but not a main.

6.5/10I think we caught Mariscaria on an off night. Front of house was having some issues and I suspect that this impacted on the kitchen. The sauces with the shellfish were delicious. The platters for two are a great selection. Worth a try.

6/10When I saw they charged for butter, I should have turned back. So, I proceeded cautiously and ordered 4 raw oysters which were fine, and steamed shrimp that were okay, one glass of wine. Not worth the 30€. I cut bait at that point and left.

9/10Enjoyed our meals, had no complaints. The outdoor dining was perfect, and tables were not crammed together like so many restaurants in Cascais are. All in all, a most pleasant experience.

9/10The food was amazing. Had a little hiccup with our appetizers. My husband and I ordered 1/2 dozen oysters and I ordered seafood cream soup. The oysters arrived but the soup never did. By the time we were able to get the waiter’s attention, our main entrées had arrived. We let the waiter know we no longer wanted the soup and they were apologetic.

4/10Food - grilled fish was cold when served and taste very bland. This place could not live up to it’s good reviews, maybe they had a bad day. But we did let them know we were not happy with getting cold food and they heated part of it up, Which you all know is not the same as getting it fresh from the grill. Also half of the fish was still lost due to it still being on our plates that were removed. They did nothing proactively to compensate, instead they billed us for a full price and when we asked for deduction they just remove a symbolic number. I didn’t have the energy to argue it more so we paid but will not come back. We still paid way more than this was worth.

9.5/10Menu was very good - not too wide - which is never a good thing in my experience. Grilled fish options are good value - food well cooked and nice simple salad. Staff very friendly. Definitely recommend if you like your fish.

8/10Good sea food, good ambience although no music. Attentive staff, very kind when trying to translate and explain dishes. Would recommend when visiting Cascais.
