Interesting menu and presentation. Excellent service. Lovely location, but the perhaps the tech stuff was somewhat over the top & "in your face" - maybe some like that & its OK for a "museum/gallery" - but for an expensive special occasion dinner, I would prefer a more relaxed setting to celebrate & enjoy the dinner!

We went here on our second night in Sicily so were still relatively inexperienced about local food. What we learned at MEC (and during the rest of our trip) is that Sicilian cuisine includes a lot of fishy flavors (like anchovies, mackerel, etc) that are not familiar to American palates and that we don’t like. These flavors were all over the tasting menu at MEC. If we could do it again, we would order a la carte to avoid these flavors. Service was very attentive, Sommelier was excellent. Ambience was odd - the Apple museum is a relatively cold environment for dinner.

An incredibly unique and overall amazing experience. From the service, to the ambiance and of course the food. We couldn't have been more satisfied with a dining experience that was truly unique and special. The wine pairings were perfect with our tasting menu. This is an experience we'll be talking about for a while.

Food was excellent. We did the tasting menu and each dish and subpart was yummy and inventive. Ambience was definitely different. Dining room was an old palace, and decorations were old Apple computers and parts. A bit weird, but it didn’t bother me. Service was impeccable.

The food and presentation was wonderful. We did the tasting menu and it was a very memorable evening. If you have a chunk of time, an appetite and are looking for creative food, and a special evening, I would recommend the MEC.

Wonderful dinner at MEC. The dinner was stunning, as the balcony view from which we could admire Santa Rosalia celebration. Thanks in particular to Cécilia, who made our dinner in a cosy vibe.

The experience at this restaurant was, overall, underwhelming — especially given the high expectations and premium price point. The concept is introduced as a tribute to Steve Jobs, briefly mentioned upon arrival, but never revisited throughout the evening. It left us wondering how the theme connected to the overall dining experience. The wine list is extensive — almost overwhelming. We received a massive catalogue, but guidance was minimal when we asked for help. We expected more personalized suggestions. We went with the tasting menu, which looked promising. While the plating was elegant, the flavors didn’t consistently deliver. The courses lacked depth and didn’t quite match our palate. That said, the staff were polite and attentive, and the setting was pleasant. It wasn’t a bad evening, but it didn’t meet the standard we had anticipated — especially given the price and the intriguing concept

The restaurant is interesting. Service impeccable. But this is not a place for people who want to enjoy their food. It is for people interested in pushing taste boundaries. Unfortunately I am the former.

MEC was a very unique experience: amazing food while being surrounded by a memorial to Steve Jobs and Apple innovation. The service was perfect and there were a lot of extra surprise dishes as part of our meal. Each dish was presented well and tasted so good that it put a big smile on our faces.

The flavour combinations were not good. Sadly much of the food just didn’t taste that nice. Perhaps trying to be too clever.

Beautiful location with the added benefit of being in a very interesting technology museum. The wine room was very impressive! Service was impeccable, friendly, welcoming, and great recommendations. With all that, my expectations of the food were very high, but I wasn’t all that impressed. It was fine with good portions, but the taste wasn’t as flavorful as I would like.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at MEC in Palermo. The menu was outstanding – a perfect blend of local Sicilian ingredients and international inspiration, beautifully executed with creativity and precision. Each dish was thoughtfully composed, bursting with flavor, and elegantly presented. The service was equally impressive – attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. We felt truly taken care of throughout the entire evening. A memorable last night for u’s in stunning surroundings – MEC is a must-visit for anyone in Palermo who appreciates top-tier gastronomy. We hope to return soon!!

Creative cooking and presentation. Sardines butter was my favorite with and a good choice of bread. I did three courses and a 2016 bottle of cataratto grape wine from Sicily, which I would recommend others. Pasta in fine dining is a difficult feature. It is simply not easy to compete with Italian family kitchens in Genua. The pasta did not really excite me here. The seabass filets however as the main course were very good. All amuses and gifts before the starter and after a selection of cheese were even amazing. The restaurant sits in an Apple computer private museum. That feature for me was a bit far fetched, but probably helps pay the rent. The sardines butter was formed as the Apple logo - that was ok.

Incredible and unexpectedly positive experience. And a holistic wonderful experience - the interesting collection of Apple devices perfectly and knowledgeable set in scene, the absolutely attentive and most friendly service, and, not to forget the excellent food coming with structured and beautifully matching wines from the region. All in all, absolutely recommendable!

The qualify of the food and the preparation of the dishes doesn’t matches a 400€ bill. The food is under seasoned, tasteless and mediocre. The sommelier is tremendously bad at his job. I don’t know if you pay him well, but it’s a waste of resources. I’ll strongly advice to revisit the way you treat your customers and they way you designed the experience. Steve jobs will not be happy to be associated with you

I became violently ill as a result of some of the raw food that was served to me. The restaurant promised to reimburse me, but I asked them to do so only for 50% since it is a wonderful place. They took down my information, later emailed me for banking information, but never sent the refund promised. Inexcusable in a Michelin-starred restaurant.

The "Apple" references were fun, but they were the highlights. Most dishes were unnecessarily contrived - calamari slices gain nothing by being carved into flower petals, and the emphasis on the visual consistently trumped the mostly bland flavors of the dishes themselves.

The food was absolutely amazing. The tastes were exceptional, as was the food presentation. The staff was so knowledgeable and explained every aspect of the dishes; and answered all our questions. It was a thrill to have Chef Carmelo greet us, answer our questions, and take a photo with out dinner party. Surpassed all of our expectations!

It was a fantastic evening which would be difficult to fault. Service ,food and ambiance was second to none. In fact I would go back to Palermo if only to eat there.

The dish design, plating, and choice of tableware were all very thoughtful, but the taste of the dishes themselves was somewhat disappointing. The seafood dishes, especially those containing oysters, had a noticeable fishy smell, even in the pasta, and it was hard to mask it even with wine. The pigeon was a good main course; the doneness and sauce were excellent, but unfortunately, the recommended BDM didn’t open up quickly enough. Overall, the value for money was not high.

Ambiance, service, presentation of the dishes all good. What came out of the kitchen not up to par to a Michelin star. Vegetarian menu. First course bread? Second was a Caponata spread, this and the following dishes all bland except for the main course. Hughe wine list, good sommelier.

I can’t say enough about how fantastic Mec is. The setting is beautiful, but above that, the service and the chef were top notch. The service was super attentive and had me smiling the entire time at how I was just able to relax and enjoy my evening. The chef and kitchen produced the most delicious foods, and kept surprising me throughout the experience. Even compared to all of other the Michelin Star restaurants I’ve been to, this has become the one to give me the best experience and memories. Thank you so much!!!

Great ambience, location and service. Food was very disappointing. Beautiful presentation but absolutely no flavor. As someone who has eaten at over 50 Michelin starred restaurants, I would rank this one at the bottom
