10/10Pleasantly surprised with this small restaurant in a part of the city that is awash with eating choices. Simple fare; nothing fancy here. By far the best food we had in Portugal, which is saying a lot. Wait staff was very attentive and were interested in where we were from and where we had been visiting in Portugal. The ambiance allowed for pleasant conversation.

10/10Great food, locals seem to eat here. Sea-bass, steak and sardines were all good. Nice waiter. The fizzy green wine was excellent as well. Good value for money.

10/10Spot on come 3 days ago and had to come back. Spoke to the owner chef who has been here for 41 years. Excellent chef and really nice person and also the staff one of them being his wife.

9.5/10Is a good place to enjoy the typical portugueis food. Quality and fair price. Our local guide recommended us this place and we are glad to follow his advice. Try to come soon or make a reservarion is a crouwded place

9.5/10We eat here quite often and the food has always been excellent! We don’t eat fish but it looks very good at other tables! We had the chicken filets and they were tender, flavorful and had lots of garlic! The fries were nice and crispy!

10/10We come to cascais every few years and always go to Melody. It's perfectly Portuguese! Our waiter was not only very handsome but provided excellent service. The food as always was wondering, but the best is seeing local people eating there, that's always a good sign

6/10Food and service were very good but the place is small and space is tight without being cosy. Plus, an adjoining area though separated by glass allowed smoking that we could smell and didn't add to the experience.

10/10Great hidden gem in the heart of Cascais. We were very surprised by the size of the portions as we could not finished them all. The picanha steak is a must try and it came with fries and chips and 5 big chunks of meat. Definitely recommend the place and do not forget to bring cash as credit cards not accepted.

8/10Everything was good and the owner speaks english very well, but they don’t take card payments so for me in 2023 it’s a very big deal in a touristic city as Cascais. Luckly there is an atm just there.

7/10Food was fabulous but service sadly lacking. They need to employ some staff, took ages for drinks to come, after waiting for 10 minutes had to ask for our bread (the next table who arrived after us had theirs), then when it came he didn’t bring the dips etc we had ordered with it, Main dishes came but didn’t bring the sides, I ordered another drink which never arrived. He then seemed surprised when I didn’t leave a tip.

10/10We ate at Melody twice while in Cascai and high recommend it. The food was fresh and delicious and the ambience especially friendly. We enjoyed both pork and fish dishes with fresh cooked veg and lovely fresh salad. Excellent value for money too.
