10/10A place we have visited many times while in Madrid and we still like through the years. The -50% offer from TheFork was amazing and we enjoyed a great dinner. While there, we tasted the homemade iberico ham croquettes, patatas bravas "old fashioned way", grilled confit leeks with truffle & toasted almonds, sirloin steak tartare and of course the great Tomahawk! Not to comment on the excellent service and the great atmosphere.. Until next time!!

we had the burgers and they were fresh and delicious. They were cooked perfectly. the atmosphere was hopping g. the decorations with the pigs on the ceiling exceptional! You will enjoy the food and atmosphere. The staff was friendly as well.

5/10After not being able to get into another more highly rated restaurant nearby, we were pleased to get an instant reservation at Mercado de la Reina. Unfortunately there was probably a reason for its availability. First, there was confusion between the restaurant and bar which have the same name and are next door to each other. We were seated quickly when we found the right place. After ordering, we were informed that the octopus (pulpo) was not available, and both my wife and I ordered the Tuna Tataki with asparagus. It came out moments later (literally 2-3 minutes) and was ice cold - clearly having been seared around the edges earlier and then stored in the fridge, and had a fishy taste and bad texture. The asparagus seemed freshly prepared and was good, making the contrast all the worse. We ordered a dessert which they also did not have. Poorly run restaurant - look elsewhere.

10/10The restaurant staff was great, the appetizers amazing especially the patatas bravas, the very best we had in Madrid. We ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection. If we go back to Madrid definitely we will dine at this restaurant.

7/10The food was very tasty! It is a great location but it seems to be too much for the service. Ordering a beer was a challenge, they ran out of water for tables (??) and forgot one of our meals so someone on our table had to eat much later than everybody else. Again, I enjoyed their steak very much.
