After not being able to get into another more highly rated restaurant nearby, we were pleased to get an instant reservation at Mercado de la Reina. Unfortunately there was probably a reason for its availability. First, there was confusion between the restaurant and bar which have the same name and are next door to each other. We were seated quickly when we found the right place. After ordering, we were informed that the octopus (pulpo) was not available, and both my wife and I ordered the Tuna Tataki with asparagus. It came out moments later (literally 2-3 minutes) and was ice cold - clearly having been seared around the edges earlier and then stored in the fridge, and had a fishy taste and bad texture. The asparagus seemed freshly prepared and was good, making the contrast all the worse. We ordered a dessert which they also did not have. Poorly run restaurant - look elsewhere.
