The restaurant is exceptionally atmospheric, located as it is on an idyllic patch on the banks of a nice little creek, in what used to be a mill (hence the name) - the mill wheel is still on display. The restaurant makes a point of keeping the menu at a compact length, and while that meant that choice wasn't exactly overwhelming (especially for me as a vegetarian), the venue itself is so enchanting, and the service so endearingly affectionate (as I made my way to leave the waiter even chased after me for a valedictory handshake) that I can only extend my warmest recommendations as to this place to anyone who should happen to spend some time in this corner of Lake Lugano.

I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, generosity and wonderful regional food. Thanks to a stuff up from "The Fork" the restaurant we not made aware of our booking and were shut, preparing for the dinner in the evening. Rather than turn us away they opened the kitchen and restaurant just for us! The food was quintessential regional fare. A wonderful mix of local game, local pasta and seasonal specialties. Their wine list was extremely good value with a supurb selection of local Valtellina wines and a solid selection of wines from Lombardi and Piedmont Thank you for making our wedding anniversary a special one to remember
