10/10For over 40 years I have been dining at Monte Mar. I am a big fan of this restaurant. Apart from excellent food and service, I enjoy very much the setting by the sea. The atmosphere is very good, the arrangement of the tables spacious, therefore you can have a good conversation, without being disturbed by your neighbours.

8/10It had been a while since we last visited Monte-Mar in Cascais. The atmosphere remains refined and the service attentive, but the food this time left us a bit underwhelmed. The dishes were simple and nicely presented, yet they lacked the depth of traditional Portuguese flavors we expected. Even the appetizers, desserts, and bread didn’t quite stand out. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, but not as memorable as we had hoped for from such a well-regarded restaurant.

10/10Great views, and consistently (I have been there many times for the last ten years) great food and very friendly and efficient service. Surprisingly for a fish and seafood restaurant, they serve arguably the best calf liver dish in the Lisbon / Cascais area.

10/10The service in the restaurant was top notch, the waiters were extraordinary and very nice. The food was excellent. The only thing that needed improvement was a better wine cellar and better wine glasses, other than that it was an excellent experience.

The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive and we were given good advice on the menu. The food was spectacular and generous (we had sharing platters of Blue lobster, prawns, clams, mussels and baby squid). Juan was our main waiter but the whole team keep and eye on the guests so there is always attention if you need it. We will go again when next in Cascais

10/10Our server was LuLu (sp?). He was truly exceptional. Gave great recommendations, was friendly and attentive. The mussels were the best I’ve ever had. We watched the sunset and then a pod of dolphins even came by. It was a perfect evening.

10/10We went for a birthday it was amazing the view and the water hitting against the rocks. We sat outside it was a beautiful day and great food and service. We loved the fresh seafood! The kids loved it too
