8/10good view, good food and good service. however the portion size is very small for the price and I had to ask for the bill 3 times.

9.5/10I've traveled by sailboat to many European port cities and have tasted fish in many excellent restaurants. Monte Mar comes out unique in the way fish is prepared. Not far from Cascais with an amazing view over the Atlantic, a friendly and professional staff, and a wide choice of fish and seafood it is definitely a "must". Access is easy, lots of parking. Best choice in the area. Enjoy!

10/10Celebrated my husband’s birthday. The staff were amazing. They food recommendations were spot on. The view was beyond anything we have ever seen. All in all we had an outstanding evening. Our host was extremely hospitable when we walked in. everything about the restaurant is well worth visiting. We had one of the best shellfish platter we have ever had highly recommend this restaurant.

9/10Charged outrageous amount for a pre dinner G&T (€16) and Portuguese Spumante (€16) glass. Should have informed us but no menu for pre dinner drinks. Only found out on bill. Food great which is a shame that they ripped us off

7/10If it was my first time there, I would never come back. If you place a reservation through The Fork, maybe you'll get lunch or dinner clise to the kitchen Never ocurred before, with normal reservations. First table would be far, under the sun outside Ahead of that, stay away in weekends and holidays, service is too slow

6/10We have been coming regularly for over 10 years since we live in the area are a saddened by the decline of this once lovely institution. With the growing size it has lost its ambiance and atmosphere. Nowadays it rather reminds of a big canteen than the cosy restaurant it used to be. The prices are increasing almost on a monthly base, the quality is declining and the service is getting worse as well. On our last visit we were seated in literally “ Siberia” regarding the temperature and the languages spoken at the other tables. The service was so rushed that they brought us additional toast for the crab after we had finished eating the dish. We did not order a second serving neither did we need it. Still it was charged. The food that arrived is was not nicely presented and the gambas with curry sauce was flavorless. All in all we were done in under an hour. There are definitely better places not far away. What a pity.

10/10This was our third visit to Monte Mar and it didn't disappoint. Exceptional food, location and service. We took friends who'd never been before and it's such a treat for us seeing what a treat is for them to discover this wonderful restaurant. Whenever we are next in Lisbon, we'll be back!

8.5/10The restaurant is a bit commercial but our waiter was very good. It's a bit pricier than you'll find elsewhere but the grouper meunière was outstanding. I would not recommend the the curry seafood.

9/10Excellent food and service. Really nice location . Unfortunately our table for two was placed just behind the large window screens, we had the lovely view but no breeze. Which meant we were extremely warm and uncomfortable on a lovely day.
