5.5/10The service when we arrived was perfect, very attentive but not overly done. The ambiance was a welcome change from other local restaurants. The starters; chicken Caesar salad, croquettes, and anchovies were delicious. The mains were less impressive. The scallops were soggy, the entrecot was cold and undercooked and our son’s carbonara inedible (at 8 years old he told us it wasn’t real carbonara because they used cream…we tried it and he was correct). However, the service was still impeccable. At dessert, things went down hill. A table of women was sat behind us, appearing to be working and being very loud. We had to try to explain the situation to our 8 year old. A waiter that wasn’t ours was overheard (also by our 8 year old) saying ‘F@!k’ at the bar area. That was the same waiter who brought our dessert over but we sent it back when it didn’t look correct. Our other, very professional and kind, waiter brought the correct dessert. Then the rude waiter came back and became aggressive with my husband while we were mid bite saying that’s what he just tried to bring us and completely ruined the evening. It was unbelievable and unnecessary. Dessert was mediocre in flavour. After €250, we won’t be returning and mainly because of one waiter. We likely would have returned for drinks and starters. It’s unfortunate.

8/10Food was OK, but nothing special, with exception of the excellent mousse of crema catalana; it was more or less similar to syllabub. Magret de pato was kept warm too longtime (under infrared?) and dried out a bit. Some cheeses from the selection of Catalan cheeses were interesting, but others looked and tasted as cheap hotel imitations of brie and camembert. The cook came to every table to inform the guests he married a girl from Barcelona, with whom he will go on a 9-day holiday trip to Galicia. After that he will go to London to score big money since there is shortage of chefs due to Brexit. He will sing God Save the Queen. It was an interesting afternoon.

9.5/10Last time the service was better, but we still loved it. The food is great and the atmosphere as nice as it gets in Empuriabrava :-) muchas gracias!

10/10My friends and I all love this restaurant. Chef Aaron is second to none, and the staff and setting just add to an already memorable experience. From the welcoming glass of Cava, the complimentary amuse bouche, to the petit fours, the whole meal is a taste sensation from beginning to end.

9.5/10Amazing price/quality. The food is outstanding. The service is great. The price is cheap. I would normally not eat in a hotel restaurant but I highly recommend everyone to book a table here.

10/10Such a great restaurant that often gets overlooked, Exceptional service and food that can't be rivalled by anyone else. We go here as a treat every now and then and we are never disappointed. The menu del dia is a bit more than other places, but you're getting more than just food, you're getting an experience!
