10/10Great meal! Very nice service and chef. Pastas were delicious, food was served quickly. Highly recommended! We had two kids with us and they treated them very well.

6/10The ambiance was nice, however, the attention to detail was just not there. My wife and I both had fish and decided on a white wine. There were 10 white wines on the menu, all local, and only five were available. My wife’s dish was rne sea bream fish which was good, however, every side dish was literally as cold as ice - Including the mashed potatoes and the egg eggplant. We were both expecting a much better experience based on previous reviews and awards. Not Recommended.

However, as you said... you just had to ask and we would have immediately replaced the dish. A mistake can happen on an evening with many people. Ours is not a gourmet restaurant but a place where you can feel good and eat happily. The wines are only Sicilian and it can happen that some labels are missing. We apologize for this but even to advise against a restaurant just for this seems exaggerated to me but nevertheless it is your idea and we take note of it. Greetings - Nostos Bistrot

10/10Charming restaurant with fantastic seafood. Start with the Antipasti di Mare and finish with the lemon cake topped with meringue. Great spot.

10/10Fabulous welcome to this small bistro. Menu is small but very seasonal. We were delighted with our choices and Chef Giovanni came out to make sure everyone was happy with their food. This restaurant deserves all the plaudits it gets. Aboveboard all we were madness to feel very welcome like in someone’s own home - not an easy thing stomach create. Bravo we wish you the very best success. Giovanni was also super helpfulness when I asked how to recreate one of his dishes.

9/10Nostos was very comfortable. The atmosphere was casual, but nice. The staff was humble, gracious and very attentive. The food was just what we were looking for. It was delicious but unassuming. I especially liked the Sicilian Salad. It was the best salad I have had in Italy and I will be going back for another.

10/10The food was delicious and it's a darling restaurant on a quaint street! Love everything about it! There t shirts are really fun and the chef gave my husband a free t shirt when he completed the chef and the t shirt !

7/10The service and the chef’s welcome were great. The food quality and ambiance were average. The restaurant theme is written on a chalkboard “nobody likes a skinny chef”. It was too touristy and gimmicky for our party of 4. We started with the Mixta and Sicilian salads, both underwhelming, overdressed iceberg lettuce. The pistachio pasta had too few pistachios, too little flavor and too much cream. We had a couple other pastas that none of us found remarkable. The sea bream was delicious but the accompaniments of grilled onions and cherry tomatoes lacked a chef’s finishing touches. Nothing was bad and everything was average. In a country known for its’ excellent food, we’d take a pass on this restaurant.

2/10The food was NOT tasty. We’ve had the same dishes at other restaurants in Siracusa that was amazing. The chef explained to us that they used local produced ingredients but still it tasted very bad. The service was bad too. It felt like a bunch of kids serving us. Reaching over our plates, hands in the food and didn’t know how to interact. Very bad experience. We paid our bill and left. Still hungry cause we couldn’t finish the bad tasting food. Don’t go here!! There’s probably a better food shack on the corner of your home street. Meetballs were too salty, caprese with tomatoes that tasted like seawater and staff that behaved like uneducated kids. There’s much better places to spend your dime at!

you should just be ashamed of what you wrote. It is an insult to the people who work and use excellent and local raw materials. How can you judge a restaurant and all its history by a mozzarella and a cherry tomato which among other things was excellent and fresh. we can understand tastes that may or may not be strong but we cannot afford to write certain things. But have you noticed what all the other reviews say about us!? Plus the chef came to talk to you to understand what your problem was. Surely you will find a shop where you eat better and you can spend your pennies. Shame!

We are sorry for your personal experience in the service we provided but it was assumed if not specified that not having taken a starter, your partner ordered a fish dish which was served with the first course on the way out. otherwise she would have had to specify. regards, Nostos Bistrot

10/10The restaurant is beautiful, down a side street , so glad we had booked as they were turning people away. The chef spoke to everybody, pleasant staff. The food was delicious, sea bream was a special and beautiful both in flavour and presentation.

+1Best assortment of seafood.. raw fish antipasti and tuna tartare. Grilled fish platter beautiful and tasty Strozzapreti pasta with sea bream/pesto delicious Blue fish and miale main courses WOW! If ever in Ortigia, you have to go here

another charming little bistro so glad we found it , myself not a sea food fan but my partner is , we had amazing sea food fresh and tasty the chef here knows what he is doing , lovely family based restaurant this did not disappoint would book again if we were not going home
