10/10Nostos Bistrot was a superb experience. Excellent and mostly Sicilian cuisine cooked with a care and refinement remarkable for the price. Our antipasti were caponata and stuffed sardines, secondi were frittata mista and sea bream, followed by very good desserts. The staff were friendly and professional, and the chef wandered around from time to time to keep an eye on how everything was going. Our best meal in Ortigia (where we've eaten very well) and it will be hard to beat elsewhere as we travel round Sicily.

10/10The food and drinks (local Sicilian whites) were fantastic. Stuffed sardines, bread meatballs in rich tomato sauce, local pork stuffed ravioli. Lovely ambience, great service and some free treats too. What’s not to like ?

10/10Great meal! Very nice service and chef. Pastas were delicious, food was served quickly. Highly recommended! We had two kids with us and they treated them very well.

6/10The ambiance was nice, however, the attention to detail was just not there. My wife and I both had fish and decided on a white wine. There were 10 white wines on the menu, all local, and only five were available. My wife’s dish was rne sea bream fish which was good, however, every side dish was literally as cold as ice - Including the mashed potatoes and the egg eggplant. We were both expecting a much better experience based on previous reviews and awards. Not Recommended.

However, as you said... you just had to ask and we would have immediately replaced the dish. A mistake can happen on an evening with many people. Ours is not a gourmet restaurant but a place where you can feel good and eat happily. The wines are only Sicilian and it can happen that some labels are missing. We apologize for this but even to advise against a restaurant just for this seems exaggerated to me but nevertheless it is your idea and we take note of it. Greetings - Nostos Bistrot

10/10This restaurant was so good the first time that we came back for dinner a second time. Excellent seafood dishes in the heart of Ortigia but away from the crowded streets.

10/10Charming restaurant with fantastic seafood. Start with the Antipasti di Mare and finish with the lemon cake topped with meringue. Great spot.

10/10Fabulous welcome to this small bistro. Menu is small but very seasonal. We were delighted with our choices and Chef Giovanni came out to make sure everyone was happy with their food. This restaurant deserves all the plaudits it gets. Aboveboard all we were madness to feel very welcome like in someone’s own home - not an easy thing stomach create. Bravo we wish you the very best success. Giovanni was also super helpfulness when I asked how to recreate one of his dishes.

9/10Nostos was very comfortable. The atmosphere was casual, but nice. The staff was humble, gracious and very attentive. The food was just what we were looking for. It was delicious but unassuming. I especially liked the Sicilian Salad. It was the best salad I have had in Italy and I will be going back for another.

10/10The food was delicious and it's a darling restaurant on a quaint street! Love everything about it! There t shirts are really fun and the chef gave my husband a free t shirt when he completed the chef and the t shirt !
