10/10I go to this restaurant since August 2001 to celebrate special occasions or “just because I feel like it”… It’s beautiful, “open” with lots of windows and cozy, nice ocean view and attentive and friendly staff. We shared the starters and a clams Bulhão Pato, then we had a sea bass “in the bread” for 3 people. Both dishes were delicious. The dessert we had the classic Portuguese farófias. It is not cheap, but the quality is very high! I will certainly go back! :)

10/10It was a lovely meal (as always!). We’re celebrating my husband birthday and I’ve asked to reserve our “special” table (where we had celebrated his anniversary back in 2001 just after we’ve started dating). They kept that table reserved for us (even having being late for 30 min, but warning them previously) and I was so, so happy! I had my first meal at Faroleiro back in 2001 and from then on we just keep going there to celebrate our birthdays or just to have a good time and a delicious lunch! The food was very good as always! For a Monday late at 15:00, it was still quite busy. The service was friendly. Very good clams, then the amazing lobster rice and ending with two delicious desserts. What could we ask more? Yes…it is not cheap… but it has good quality and that comes with a price! I hope I can continue to go there for many, many years more!!!

7/10Client since 1990. Food taste and quality has been dropping and prices have been going up. Pitty to see a good restaurante not worrying about detail. So many options on the market I started to go there less.

10/10Always a pleasure to come to Faroleiro! :) One of my favorites in the Lisbon /Cascais area!!! It is not cheap, but when the quality is great there are no regrets! The rice with lobster and seafood is absolutely delicious and one of my favorites (ex-aequo with “Seabass in the bread”!). Desserts are very good too! This time we had Farófias (the usual for my husband) and Sintra Queijada Pie. Just go and enjoy!

10/10I asked for a window table as our guests were from another country and they loved the view, as did we! The food was very good although the bill was much more expensive than I had imagined compared to our local area but then you are paying for the ambience and very good service! I would definitely return!

10/10Probably the best restaurant in Cascais. Great service, amazing location and food so fresh and prepared at the highest standard. We had the sea bass ao Sal and the octopus. What an amazing experience! Well done!

5/10For starter, two cheeses were accepted, and almost a whole cheese was removed from the table and charged at the end of the bill. Regrettably, in a restaurant considered good, they have these practices that reveal a lack of good faith—a shame.

Queremos esclarecer que um queijo ou qualquer outro alimento será sempre cobrado ao cliente, desde que esse alimento seja por si inutilizado, mesmo que o cliente consuma apenas uma pequena parte dele. A partir do momento em que o cliente o consome, mesmo que apenas falte uma fatia ou menos, o queijo terá que ser cobrado pois o que sobra, não poderá ser consumido por mais ninguém. Por isso mesmo, antes dos nossos colaboradores colocarem na mesa as entradas, é sempre questionado ao cliente se deseja que os alimentos fiquem na mesa. Lamentamos que tenha ficado decepcionada com a sua esperiência, mas esperamos que uma futura visita corra de forma mais positiva. Um excelente ano!

10/10This is one of the premier restaurants that is on the coast of Guincho Beach just outside of Cascais, Portugal. The restaurant is facing the ocean, and hillside in the direction of Cabo de Roca, which is the last lighthouse. The Discoverers would see on their way to the New World. The seafood is incredible.

10/10We are regulars here. The fish is always fresh and the cooking superb. My wife had red mullet caught by the restaurant's own boat with oysters to start. I had their clams á Bulhão Pato - a classic Lisbon dish -perfectly prepared and rock lobster straight out of the tank. Another fine lunch.

10/10This is a fantastic restaurant with beautiful views of the sea. The service was excellent and we were invited to look and choose our fish. We had lobster and rice and it melted in the mouth. This is an expensive restaurant, lots of starters are 120 euros but there is a mix of prices. A great place to go for a holiday treat!

3.5/10This was our second time here, the first had been great. However, this time the fish was very dry and not what we were expecting at all. We ordered the roasted mixed fish platter and we got the heads and tails of the fish (not the nicest parts). The staff were not very pleasant. We said that we did not enjoy the food when the waiter asked and he was polite about it. Disappointing experience.
