The staff on counter was very attentive , but some young couple was making toomuch noise and talking loudly which they could not stop as they were making rest all people annoying , good portion was good , my tuna was ok ok as they did not remove the white part making it very chewy , wines were also ok Good value for money

Overall it was very good, the main course was delicious. The bread before the meal was very hard and worth 5.5 euros. It would be better to change it to better bread.

Very good service and food. Tiny location so reserve well ahead. 7:00 means 7:00 if that’s your time. We arrived a bit earlier - only negative was we were told rather abruptly that no we couldn’t wait in the shade outside by their patio since they open at 7. It’s hard to determine an exact arrival time when you’re not sure of the restaurant location as a visitor. But service once seated made up for that encounter.

The food was okay. It felt like it could have been better in terms of a finer dining experience. I can see that care went into the food preparation, but as a total experience it felt a little overrated and like it was resting on old reviews. It also felt like a little bit of a tourist trap.

There were still lots of sands inside the razor clams and the clams....The clams should have been properly cleaned out those sands before serving the customers1

My 2nd time at this restaurant and the flavors are incredible. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was the food was a little bit too salty and we ate in June and the corner we were sitting was so hot! Other than that this is really exciting, imaginative and incredibly tasty food and the staff are amazing. I could not fault the service, all the staff were knowledgeable, kind and so friendly. Will be back

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to O Frade. It was our first dinner in Lisbon and was a very nice way to get things started on our trip. This restaurant provided such a personal experience from the seating arrangement and service. You are seated around a bar and can watch the chefs plate and complete your dish before it is served. All of our dishes were delicious! The staff also provided us an excellent wine recommendation to pair with our meal. Overall, it was a memorable evening and would recommend to others visiting the Belem area of Lisbon.

Too much hype and not really well delivered. Staff could be better trained, food was just OK and you get eat better modern Portuguese food at other restaurants in Lisbon for cheaper. White wine was served at room temperature, waiter had not a big knowledge of the menu and the food was very uninspiring, which was a pity as I had hight hopes. Seat was also terrible, by the window with no space for the feet, they should not use that space for costumers.

Amazing food, from apps to mains to dessert! The wine recommendations were great as well. The staff were friendly and very amicable. Highly recommend their razor clams for a starter. We didn’t have their salads but saw them prepping it and it all looked super fresh! I’d skip the tartare, it was good but I didn’t find it anything special but still good food. The duck rice was really good but the oxtail was even better than expected. And I’d skip the octopus main and get the squid instead. We can’t decide between the walnut cake or the chocolate mousse. Both just as decadent! Highly recommend. They are also at Time Out Market.

Food was much saltier than we were expecting which led us to be unable to finish the relatively modest portions of food served. Service was prompt, though felt ingenuine at times. Also was asked to tip though no other restaurant in neither Portugal nor Spain asked for gratuity. This came across as touristy.

We made a reservation a few weeks in advance, but due to delayed flight had to reschedule. One phone call to the restaurant and they rescheduled out reservation but said that now it’s for the outside seating. When we arrived they managed to seat us inside, which was very nice. Fine food, very good service! We left very satisfied!
