10/10Great intimate setting with not that many seats. We had the razor clams which was lovely, garlic squid, and the bean octopus dish was so good that it really made us rethink how bean soup dishes should taste like with texture

7/10Great food! Loved the fish and the oxtail. Service could be better, friendlier and more welcoming, with better seating, cutlery etc (I got a chipped plate that we had to ask for exchange) Overall average value for the money, but in the Belém/Ajuda area probably one of the better restaurants.

8/10we had lunch on the terrace with beautiful November weather. here was a mix up with our order, but it was corrected immediately and we even kept the extra dis (salmon) The Porco Preto was delicious. Inside there is one big bar, but outside there are tables and it is pleasant and quiet.

8/10Really good creative menu with high quality products BUT very unwelcoming staff. This was my second time at O Frade. I brought along another foodie who I knew would love it. We ordered the duck rice, tuna muxama salad, the beef tartar (which needs salt or more cappers btw) and the turbot. Everything was excellent. The only problem was the attitude and lack of attentiveness from the servers. We had a reservation and arrived on time. As soon as we walked, the energy from our server (maybe a Spanish woman? She had a tattoo on her chest) was unwelcoming and cold. When we needed service (drinks, clean plasalt, coffee, etc) it felt unpleasant to us (the clients) to bother her! My friend and I eat at the best restaurants around the country so we have a broad perspective. Also, evaluating customer service performance in the hospitality sector in Portugal is what I do. CONCLUSION: O Frade has A LOT of work to do to raise the level of customer service to match the level of their food.

6/10the food is generally ok, but way too salty for me personally, what concerns me the most is their hygine. the restaurant isn't big, so when they process food in their bar, it's not far away from the street outside. i saw flies around and also the chef grabbed mushroom and herbs by bare hands while doing other stuff in the same time without washing hands. I was quite surprised to see the standard of a Michelin recommended restaurant.

10/10A very traditional Lisbon menu, but the food is served in an attractive, modern way. The service is charming, and it is extremely pleasant to sit at the horseshoe shaped counter and see the food prepared. Excellent wines as well, a number made by the owners themselves.
