9.5/10Had to go at Pescador to taste the best fish and seafood of our stay in Portugal. Excellent and friendly service. We were a group of 7 and everyone was pleased with their choice.

10/10Not or first time at O Pescador, but one of many. Every year for the last 7 (excluding Covid) we have visited them 3 /4 times during our 14 day holiday and never been disappointed. Would highly recommend a visit.

10/10I celebrated my 45th birthday at O Pescador together with my girlfriend and 6 friends, and it was a fantastic dinner in all aspects. Great food and service, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and waiters with plenty of humor. Can definitely recommend!

5/10Unfortunately this restaurant is no longer a genuine family establishment, the food is mediocre. It caters to tourist groups and has a formula service designed to maximize profits. Sad. Seafood was over cooked and even though not bad, overall disappointing. Overpriced wine.

9.5/10We arrived on a quiet night with only a few other tables occupied. The waiters were excellent, just attentive enough. Quality of the seafood was exceptional, we’d definitely recommend the Stingray and the Octopus dishes

4/10The staff were not friendly. the restaurant was very quiet while I was only given three time slots to book a table. Only three tables were taken. I ordered Sea Bass and a salad, both came swimming in oil, the salad was small, lettuce, tomato and carrot!

10/10I visited this restaurant for the first time in 4 years and the owner remembered me and welcomed me. As always, it was a very delicious and enjoyable meal. Next time I want to visit with my family. Thank you so much.

10/10My second visit and I'll be back. A super cataplana (traditional Portuguese seafood and fish stew) with very good wine by the glass and both professional and entertaining service. I very rarely order dessert but the menu was tempting; we had a very good almond tart and a nice apple pie. I want to try everything on the menu!

8.5/10Can't justify the price considering I live in Algarve (Faro) and have eaten, by far, superior quality fish and paid a lot less. However the staff made it a worthy experience. But! It was good quality, considering it is in such a touristic zone. Of all the restaurants we went to I'd recommend for those who don't mind paying more for what you get.

8/10A Cascais institution. Restaurants only survive this long if they keep delivering and O Pescador still does. Not cheap but high quality fresh fish cooked beautifully. Really good wine list too. If you love fish and shellfish it’s still the best in old Cascais

10/10Excellent restaurant and the waiter team . The food was special , octopus and muscles appetizers were tender and delicious presumably corepared Portuguese style as a little different . Main courses were top quality , I had swordfish again prepared in a way I had not experienced before but nevertheless beautiful. Desert of poached pears highly recommended .

10/10This is rave review of last night’s extraordinary experience. Every aspect of the service and hospitality we received was “old school”in the best possible way. We had the monkfish and lobster in a great mushroom sauce and two of us split the paella for two. Truly ithe paella was enough for all three of us and as delicious as it was spectacular. The paella included prawns, angostine lobster, mussels, squid, sausage and a huge tiger shrimp over a massive bed of rice. The paella was kept warm in a paella bowl by two votive candles. We had great wine from an extensive list. The desserts of apple tart and banana in a chocolate Madeira wine sauce was superb. The dining room is elegant with appropriate fishing décor. I wish I could give them 6 stars!

10/10Tiger prawns were amazing. Been a couple of times and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Place fills up quickly so better to book in advance

9.5/10Classic place to eat traditional portuguese fish dishes. The service is second to non and the food is absolutely delicious. A great place to go back when you get tired of the modern, avant guarde, conceptual cuisine!
