Tuna and swordfish carpaccio starter that I had was very tasty, but my wife’s fish soup was rather disappointingly bland and so were the grouper mains. Quick and efficient service and friendly ambience, though.

Despite having made a booking many weeks in advance, we arrived to be that it would be a problem if we wanted to sit inside and that if we wanted a table we should sit outside.Normally, we would indeed sit outside, but it was a cold evening and very few people were sat outside. To rub salt into the wounds, folk without reservations were given tables inside. Given that we had made a special booking following a previous booking, it left a sour taste with us. We got the impression that either A- our booking had been missed and they weren't expecting us. B - we weren't important enough customers to give us a table. Either way, I needed have got to the trouble of making an advance booking. The food was good, although the table starters were a bit of a con in that they were things that you weren't sure were free or not. They of course appeared on the bill. They weren't very nice either. Wine was good though and the waited that served us during the meal was friendly.

Had to go at Pescador to taste the best fish and seafood of our stay in Portugal. Excellent and friendly service. We were a group of 7 and everyone was pleased with their choice.

Not or first time at O Pescador, but one of many. Every year for the last 7 (excluding Covid) we have visited them 3 /4 times during our 14 day holiday and never been disappointed. Would highly recommend a visit.

I celebrated my 45th birthday at O Pescador together with my girlfriend and 6 friends, and it was a fantastic dinner in all aspects. Great food and service, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and waiters with plenty of humor. Can definitely recommend!

Unfortunately this restaurant is no longer a genuine family establishment, the food is mediocre. It caters to tourist groups and has a formula service designed to maximize profits. Sad. Seafood was over cooked and even though not bad, overall disappointing. Overpriced wine.

We arrived on a quiet night with only a few other tables occupied. The waiters were excellent, just attentive enough. Quality of the seafood was exceptional, we’d definitely recommend the Stingray and the Octopus dishes

The staff were not friendly. the restaurant was very quiet while I was only given three time slots to book a table. Only three tables were taken. I ordered Sea Bass and a salad, both came swimming in oil, the salad was small, lettuce, tomato and carrot!

My second visit and I'll be back. A super cataplana (traditional Portuguese seafood and fish stew) with very good wine by the glass and both professional and entertaining service. I very rarely order dessert but the menu was tempting; we had a very good almond tart and a nice apple pie. I want to try everything on the menu!

Can't justify the price considering I live in Algarve (Faro) and have eaten, by far, superior quality fish and paid a lot less. However the staff made it a worthy experience. But! It was good quality, considering it is in such a touristic zone. Of all the restaurants we went to I'd recommend for those who don't mind paying more for what you get.

A Cascais institution. Restaurants only survive this long if they keep delivering and O Pescador still does. Not cheap but high quality fresh fish cooked beautifully. Really good wine list too. If you love fish and shellfish it’s still the best in old Cascais

Excellent restaurant and the waiter team . The food was special , octopus and muscles appetizers were tender and delicious presumably corepared Portuguese style as a little different . Main courses were top quality , I had swordfish again prepared in a way I had not experienced before but nevertheless beautiful. Desert of poached pears highly recommended .

The food and ambience superb but the best part of the experience was the warm and welcoming staff who were proficient cheerful and helpful All in all an amazing restaurant
