Our 3rd time @Oficio. Still a very recommendable experience, of course, though we found the menu less creative than a couple of years ago. Uncomplicated yet friendly and helpful service. Noisier than usual, probably because it was our 1st time on a Saturday. Still one of our favourites in Lisbon!

The dishes are very small to be advertised as sharing dishes for 2-3 people, they barely feed one person. My friend ended up not getting her entre, and although the restaurant offered to bring it out, the rest of the party was done eating. My other friend had a bday and instead of bringing out a slice of cake or dessert, she got a bowl full of rocks with a candle. Maybe it’s a cultural custom or something but it didn’t sit well with us after the one entre was forgotten. Not quite what we expected for service recovery. Food was good but we definitely left still hungry.

Helpful service with recommendations. Not sure all I ordered was served up but an interesting menu and good selection of wines. Would be nice to have more Portugese wines though. Sometimes the presentation was excessive (serving on inedible sea urchins unnecessary!) and crispy pork crackling was missing as were shrimps. Would certainly recommend for creativity but a more balanced menu would be good. Good value.

Once considered one of the most emblematic restaurants on Rua da Trindade, Oficio is now just a shadow of what it used to be. Our experience was disappointing from start to finish. The service was chaotic — waiters seemed unfamiliar with the menu, misidentified the dishes, and offered no guidance or recommendations. One of them even had a noticeably unpleasant body odour, which didn’t help the overall experience. We ended up ordering most of the menu without any structure or explanation. No one walked us through the dishes, their ingredients, or how they were meant to be enjoyed. The portions were extremely small — a disaster if you arrive hungry — and many of the dishes shared the same overpowering combination of oily, salty, and sour foams, sprinkled with random herbal oil droplets. Frankly, it’s baffling how Oficio holds a Bib Gourmand distinction from Michelin. Our visit felt more like a cautionary tale than a culinary experience. Avoid at all costs.
