We had a wonderful evening with Carlo at Olio. It was such a great dining experience and we enjoyed it immensely. I begged my wife to split the Florentine Steak with me and we were very happy we did. It was fantastic as was the taglierini with truffles. He had a great selection of wines and grappas and also gave a lesson on olive oils and balsamic. I highly recommend this great restaurant.

We loved this restaurant. Carlo made us feel so welcome. We started with a few anti pasta dishes he recommended and then we all had very delicious and interesting dishes. I personally loved the fish! We will be back!

Our dinner at Olio was a very enjoyable experience, the service was extremely attentive and gracious, the atmosphere was elegant and restful with very nice jazz music being played in the background, and the food was carefully prepared and delicious - we had an excellent Siena salad, tagliatelle with generous shavings of tartufo added by the waiter, and well prepared duck breast and baked sea bass.

The bistececca a la fiorentina was a disappointment. Lots of sinew and not tender. Well cooked but for the price… would have ordered something else. Everything else was very good.

Excellent dinner for our first night in Florence. ! Sea bass and duck were outstanding. This was a random choice on a Sunday night when most other restaurants were closed. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely dinner at Olio restaurant in Florence and we loved the service and the food. The staff Christoforo and Carlo were brilliant, professional and courteous. Highly recommend this restaurant, particularly the Florentine steak (bistecca alla fiorentina).

Our dinner at Olio’s was the best meal we have had in Italy! Absolutely delicious!! My husband couldn’t stop raving about his ravioli in pear sauce. Every bite he was expressing how fantastic the flavors were. His steak was also very delicious and so was my bass and vegetables. We absolutely loved dinner!! Definitely go there if you can. The restaurant is beautiful, quiet, nice music and has wonderful service with the kindest of waiters. Five stars in every category!!

Excellent food, great wine at a decent price. The service was relaxed and very friendly even though we don’t really speak Italian. This is a small place with one server and the host, so don’t expect a New York Diner experience. Most patrons were still in tourist clothes but would not have been out of place dressed up a bit. The layout makes it nice for a romantic dinner for two or a leisurely family meal. The food is innovative (for example, chick pea soup with crispy black cabbage and slow roasted duck - 48 hours at 70 degrees C. I would say the flavors tend to the savory side, rather than bright. The wine list is small but packed with gems, especially chianti. We had the 2016 Dievole Chianti Sessina which was amazing after about 30 min and well matched to the food. We will revisit next time in Venice, for sure.

The best meal we had in Florence. In a quiet area away from the throngs of tourists, the food was incredible and unique, the service attentive. Extensive wine list. The menu was a little intimidating at first as it didn’t have all the typical Tuscan dishes. But every single dish we ordered was delicious and all 4 of us cleaned every plate. My daughter’s truffle pasta was light and not drowning in cream sauce as you will find in many places - but instead had fresh truffle grated at the table. The branzino filet was served beautifully with fresh vegetables. The dessert sampler - we couldn’t decide which of the four desserts was our favorite and we ate every bite.

We ask for the check and we payed. We counted the money 2 times. After a while the person who received the money told us that we didn’t give him enough. We had to pay more because we didn’t count the money in front of the guy.

The atmosphere and food were top notch - these two waiters were of the highest class - I haven’t seen for long such attention to clients and gentle and non-intrusive approach! I have booked via Fork and there was 30% discount that was applied to the bill automatically, without any hassle or reminder - this was actually not needed as the food deserved the normal price! The food was great - my wife got veal cheeks that were amazingly tender and juicy. I regretted I didn’t take a duck with raspberry sauce :(. We took a set of desserts for 2 persons and this was a fiesta of “dolce vita”. Pity we couldn’t take more courses but Italian cuisine is definitely too generous with sizes :)
