10/10Polite and friendly staff in a beautiful dining room with wonderful canal views. The food was beautifully presented with very pleasing textures and flavours. Service wasn’t ultra polished but this did give the dining room a more relaxed vibe, which suited us fine. A lovely evening with some very special food.

7/10Overall pleasant experience. The bisque lacked in flavor and the dessert was good. Mains were good as well (nothing stunning). We missed also pre entries to go along with the dishes.

8/10The Place is beautifull and the staff is very attentive. Unfortunately They are totaly understaffed so Service was too Slow. Thats only due to the Lack of employes. The ones that worked did their Best. Food was good. All in all a nice experience, that could have been Perfect with the needed staff.

10/10We had a beautiful corner table with views of the canal on both sides. The dishes were all delicious and were artistic masterpieces, purposely designed that way due to the name of the restaurant and the artist it was named after. It was expensive but that is typical for the area.

10/10We were welcomed by a Cellist at the entrance. We tasted The Painter’s Pallet (red mullet) and The Nightwatch (veal). They were very delicious. The service was excellent. We were offered bubbels since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The look out at the water is also added to the great ambiance.

7/10Appetizer snd starter of bitterballen and soup was pretty good but the main course of rib eye and veal cheeks was disappointing given its cost. The rib eye was thin and cooked too well done unlike my husband’s request. Veal cheek was braised like stew without the veg. Pretty small portion for a main course. Would not recommend if you have been out touring amsterdam and in need of sustenance.

10/10Honestly, 10/10. we tried it out as we were spending two days off in Amsterdam and it was an absolute surprise. even though we weren't quite appropriate for this kind of chic restaurant, we've felt welcomed the service was so kind from the get go. clearly the chef knows what they're doing here, the food was amazing. not to mention the view. 10/10We recently celebrated our anniversary at this wonderful restaurant, and while the food was delicious, it was the exceptional service that truly made our experience memorable. Our server, Lung, was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and took the time to explain the concept of the place, which added a unique touch to our dining experience. His kindness and attentiveness throughout the meal really made us feel special. It’s rare to come across such thoughtful service, and Lung definitely went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic evening. Highly recommend this spot for both the great food and the unforgettable service!

The waiter should have been more trained because we asked for a wine recommendation and he said he doesn’t know because he doesn’t drink wine ;) honest but not helpful. The ambiance is not helped but open kitchen and smoke which triggered fire alarm.

6.5/10Wonderful atmosphere, but unfortunately the service is very slow, we had to ask more than 3 times for our water and bread with butter. When he finally brought the bread, he forgot the butter and instead of bringing it right away, he went to serve another table first, which took 10 minutes... Empty dishes weren't cleared away, even after we stacked them on top of each other. Maybe the waiter was new, but you would expect a different type of service for that prince range. Speaking of price range, I have been to many restaurants, but never experienced a place where each slice of bread costs 5 euro. Usually you pay 7-9 euro for a basket full of bread, but here we paid 20 Euro for 4 small slices of bread. It's sometimes the small things like this that keep people away. The rest of the menu was fine, we had the catch of the day and the steak Having said that, we would probably come back only for the view, because it's truly beautiful and we hope the restaurant can improve on their offerings.

10/10Beautiful spot for a romantic dinner. Very tasty and well presented food, though somewhat small portions for the price. Though the bread was delicious, the cost of the bread service was my one area of complaint. A historic spot well worth a visit, so glad we discovered it thanks to The Fork!
