8/10The food was ok but not amazing for the price. The waiter should have been more trained because we asked for a wine recommendation and he said he doesn’t know because he doesn’t drink wine ;) honest but not helpful. The ambiance is not helped but open kitchen and smoke which triggered fire alarm.

9/10Great food. Great value for money. Great waiter, very nice and attentive. Unfortunately the kitchen had too much focus on the non-paying journalist guests for the opening and decided that usual guest have lower priority.

6.5/10Wonderful atmosphere, but unfortunately the service is very slow, we had to ask more than 3 times for our water and bread with butter. When he finally brought the bread, he forgot the butter and instead of bringing it right away, he went to serve another table first, which took 10 minutes... Empty dishes weren't cleared away, even after we stacked them on top of each other. Maybe the waiter was new, but you would expect a different type of service for that prince range. Speaking of price range, I have been to many restaurants, but never experienced a place where each slice of bread costs 5 euro. Usually you pay 7-9 euro for a basket full of bread, but here we paid 20 Euro for 4 small slices of bread. It's sometimes the small things like this that keep people away. The rest of the menu was fine, we had the catch of the day and the steak Having said that, we would probably come back only for the view, because it's truly beautiful and we hope the restaurant can improve on their offerings.

10/10Beautiful spot for a romantic dinner. Very tasty and well presented food, though somewhat small portions for the price. Though the bread was delicious, the cost of the bread service was my one area of complaint. A historic spot well worth a visit, so glad we discovered it thanks to The Fork!

10/10Excellent and lovely staff! They accommodated our request to upgrade our room due to a booking error. The hotel is in a quiet and beautiful area. The food at Omber (hotel restaurant) was superb.

10/10The view from the window seats is impeccable, watching the canal boats pass by as we had our dinner was gorgeous. The staff, incredible. They were so lovely, informative of the menu, and the history of Amsterdam. We had a great time, the food was lovely, and soe was the place. Would definitely come back again! Shout out to long for all the great recommendations and info on the history of the food

9.5/10It made memories come alive. A staple in the Amsterdam Restaurant and Hotel scene makes it a must-do. Next to the channel, fine dining with a touch of Dutch Cuisine makes this for native dutch and tourists a taste sensation.

4.5/10Reservation made a month ahead for a very special evening with another couple we meet annually on our last night in Amsterdam. We asked the night before for the corner table and were assured they would honor the request. We arrived, only one other couple present. Suddenly, a group of 6 was seated where we requested. The server was unable to understand we would like to order our beverages before we gave our dinner requests. 1 hour to receive beverages. Had to ask for the menus. 2 of 4 options for appetizers were “already sold out “ (despite the fact only 2 tables were in the restaurant, leaving the options of “pickles” and “cheese” which we declined. We finally ate but it was understaffed and inefficient; the server had to take all orders, serve everything, clear all plates. Bread fell off the heavy board she carried, she was flustered. This would be fine at a diner, it is not okay at a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. They apologized but it was a truly an unfortunate experience
