10/10We really enjoyed our dinner at Orquidea, the food was excellent, especially the Lisbon style cod. The menu consists of a number of share dishes and as a pescatarian there were plenty of options. The service was also great and the venue itself is beautiful.

10/10We have gad many wonderful meals during our visit to Portugal. Our experience at Orquídea was our favorite. The building is a beautiful setting for the delicious food. We appreciated the suggestions for plates and wine. Do not pass up dessert + espresso + port. Obrigado!

10/10We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Orchidea. Arriving relatively early, the restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but the owner immediately welcomed and seated us comfortably. He brought over the chalk board menu and patiently explained the many offerings. We decided upon the covert (delicious bread and sausage instilled (!) butter), the shrimp sauteed in garlic and chili oil, and the pulled pork. We asked for recommendations for wine by the glass. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. Wine choices were great. This might have been our best meal in Lisbon. So good!

+1The restaurant is beautiful! The building is very old - which adds to the ambiance. The restaurant owner went through all of the options and suggested that we (2 of us) choose 3 to share. The portions are a shareable size. We chose a cod dish, the hanger steak dish and a vegetable dish. They were all delicious! We had the chocolate mousse (delicious!) and a passion fruit merengue dessert. We left nothing on any plate. Highly recommend! Make a reservation!

9.5/10Gorgeous restaurant, very well priced for what it is. Burrata was sensational and chocolate mousse was truly the best in the world. Service was fantastic with staff being very attentive. Tremendously delectable.

10/10We loved eating here - we had five sharing plates between four and then two desserts! I would highly recommend the beef, octopus, tomato +burrata + ice cream and the best chocolate mousse. All dishes were explained to us and the service was great.

10/10From the moment we walked in, this restaurant delivered an outstanding experience. The staff were warm, welcoming, and impressively attentive throughout the evening. They took the time to understand our tastes and offered excellent recommendations for both food and wine. The food itself was simply exceptional – hands down the best meal we had during our stay in Lisbon. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. It’s clear that both quality ingredients and culinary skill are at the heart of what they do. Their chocolate mousse is nothing short of divine, rich and silky with just the right balance of sweetness. A perfect end to a perfect meal. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon – this place is a must.

10/10Book this restaurant! Having dinner here was getting the best of having a delicious dinner out, and with the warmth and attentiveness like having dinner at the home of a friend. From the deceptively simple tomatoes, Portuguese burratta and basil sorbet; to rabbit samosas; to the world’s best chocolate mousse (!), quality ingredients were deftly transformed into extra special creations to savour.

The food is innovative and delicious, a unique take on traditional Portuguese flavours. The service was friendly, efficient and informative, establishing a relaxed relationship with diners. I would definitely return to try some of the other tapas style offerings.
