10/10What a fantastic place. Best meal we had in Lisbon. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great selection of Tapas and wine. Chocolate mousse was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed. Central location, easy to find. A great evening.

During our two-night break in Lisbon this March, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Orquidea on our final evening. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and took the time to guide us through their extensive menu, explaining the variety of dishes available and recommending around three to start, as their concept is tapas-style dining. Their suggestions were spot on, and they also recommended a red wine to complement our choices--it turned out to be an excellent pairing. Every dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavour. We enjoyed them so much that we couldn't resist ordering an extra two! Each bite showcased the quality of local ingredients and the care that goes into the cooking. Neither of us are particularly drawn to desserts, so instead, we opted for the baked goat's cheese and the cheese platter--both featuring exceptional local cheeses. 5/10I really appreciated the ambience, and the customer service was decent. However, the food was disappointing. Most dishes tasted stale and lacked freshness. Despite requesting no bread, it was brought to our table anyway, which was a bit odd—something to be mindful of. My friend had the pork belly, which was overwhelmingly salty. The octopus was passable, but the seasoning detracted from the dish, and the crumbs added didn’t complement the flavours, making it feel unbalanced. We finished with the beef tongue and chestnut purée, but the flavour profile was inconsistent. The beef was sliced too thinly, while the purée was overly heavy, resulting in a lack of harmony on the plate. Overall, a disappointing experience despite the lovely setting.

Hi Shukria, Unfortunately we can´t satisfy all customers. About your opinion I find it quite unpleasant! If you have not appreciated our flavours is one thing, to say bad of the quality of even is another! Here we do all more fresh than possible. About the couvert, apologize for not understanding your accent, but when I arriving with that to your table and explain every items, you can tell me again if you dont want, you could not eat it (and there I understand you dont want!) But......you eat all the couvert!!!!! The other plates, unfortunately were not to your liking. If you had told us that you did not like it when askeed, we coulkd have solved somehow. You ate everything and didnt say anything. Enjoyed Lisboa! HB

6.5/10Unfortunately the ambience is not nice. It was cold and they had white, very bright light. It’s such a beautiful location, but absolutely not cozy. Please take of the horrible light and place some little table lamps on each table. Service should have a nice smile, even if it’s December and the restaurant is empty. We did not feel welcomed in the beginning. Later the service became more friendly. The food was okay, but nothing special from our perspective.

10/10We completely enjoyed this restaurant for several reasons. First, the food, which served sharing style and allowed us to be adventurous. We tried things we would not normally try, for example the duck rice and the rabbit chamaça, which were both surprisingly excellent choices Second, our waiters, who were very friendly and really cared to make sure our dinner was pleasant. Third, inside the restaurant itself it is very beautiful. With a very high arched ceiling and a modern trendy feel. Definitely going back the next time we are in Lisbon, and bringing our friends too.

10/10We came in a party of 4 and are not huge eaters and were pleasantly surprised with the tapas-style menu. That allowed us to order a few dishes to share. Each dish was really well prepared and tasty. We particularly loved the sardinhas on bread (note this is seasonal so may not be available) as well as the batata doce dish. The boutique wines were also good. Service was excellent. We will be back !

5/10When we arrived at the restaurant the waiter immediately told us the portions would be the size of the plate (which was already set on the table). When we ordered our food, the portions were even smaller and about the size of a small fruit bowl. They clearly reduced the sizes dramatically because we were eligible for the 30% from The Fork. And the food was not very good. I ordered the cod and it was very salty and in tiny pieces. My husband ordered the sausage and it was dry and it too was cut into tiny pieces. They have no salads or veggies other than potatoes. And they have no cocktail offerings other than their own wine or beer. Would NOT recommend this place at all. .

Hi Dorothy, Unfortunately we can not satisfy all costumers, not all flavours are appreciated by everyone. About the discount on The Fork, we serve all costumers equally. We only inform that the portions are reduced because this is our concept and we do not want to be told that we are deceiving you. As for accompaniments os dishes we only have what is on the menu of the day. We do not serve salads or vegetables if they are not part of any dish becauser our menu is the mosts daily possible. But we have vegetarian dishes! And yes, WE DONT HAVE COCKTAILS, we are a wine produtors and this is a wine bar., but we have a Portuguese gin, Portuguese licors, Portuguese brandys..... But .... you dont care about that! Thak you for your visit! HB

10/10The food was delicious, it's a tapas kind of meal, they suggest 3 plates for 2 people. The waiter suggested us wines based on our tastes and his suggestions were spot on, very very good wine selection. We were planning on coming for a glass and we ended up eating and taking more than a glass each to taste more different wines.

10/10Excellent food both in taste and presentation! The portions weren’t large but it was tapas (shareable) style. We had 6 dishes for 5 of us which was perfect. The wine all came from their winery and was delicious too. Best meal yet in Portugal!
