The staff was very welcoming och the food really was an experience. I absolutely rekommend to go there and try the tasting menu and enjoy some great wines. Even if the restaurant is a bit out of town, it's worth the "healthy walk" or you can take bus 8 to go there for less the 2 euro from the bus station. So if you are in Bergamo, just go there!

New Yorker looking for some quality authentic food and this place was awesome. Very seasonal menu, highlighting spring with morles, asparagus, and lamb the night we weee there. Chef driven food with attention to local ingredients done extremely well. No plate was left clean. Started with salami, asparagus, and snails. Moved to theee pasta, the butter sage stuffed one was superb, as was the gnocchi with garlic and morels, and the fussili with ossobuco ragu with asparagus. Later we had special Portuguese beef and quail. Literally everything was superb. Cannot go wrong here!

After reading some good recommendations of this place, we went for lunch a Saturday afternoon. There were plenty of space when we arrived. We received a warm welcome from the waiter, who spoke good English language. We both had the beef tatar and the famous pasta dish from the region Casoncelli. Both dishes were served quickly and were both wonderful. All in all a very good experience and we can really recommend the place.

Found the restaurant of Tripadvisor and decided to gige it a try in out single night in Bergamo. The food was very tasty and looks wonderful. The prices are not very high for a Michelin star restaurant. Overall we recommend it !

Interior of the restaurant is excellent. The blues of the walls are very calming as well as soft,background jazz music. You have to wait for the food a bit but it is worth it! Excellent staff with a good knowledge about local vines and seasonal products. We visited as a family of four and ate the trout stuffed pasta, mutton belly, rabbit with polenta (stunning) and Casoncelli. We finished with the Best panacota of my life that was creamy, wobbly and topped with crunch.

Nice restaurant in a quiet neighbourhood. Not too crowded on a Wednesday evening. We took a tasting menu (two starters,two primi piatti, one secondi piatti and dessert) to learn the restaurant's kitchen better and get to know more local food better. Starters were quite good and we loved the different combinations of the flavours. Primi piatti risotto was a bit blend and could have used a bit more seasoning. Local ravioli is really good. Pork belly wasn't our favourite, but that comes down to personal preferences. The dessert pie accompanied with soft gelato was a good ending to the menu. The service was good and thoughtful throughout the whole evening. We can recommend Osteria Al Gigianca to everyone who wants a peaceful evening with Lombardian food.

Restaurant that give the traditional osteria a nice, modern twist. Local based ingredients and a diverse range of dishes with renewed classics like risotto to local stars as casoncelli, that was new to us. An abundant selection of wines, of which a selection is offered per half bottle as well. Location is quite off centre, but worth the walk/ride from Bergamo city center.

The slow cook menu was good. All the dishes were nicely done. Quite substantive for the 5 courses and dessert. If you are hungry enough, it is worth a try.

A wonderful place with delicious food and friendly staff. It’s located outside of the centre on the new town, but it’s easy enough to walk to, and if you’re thirsty enroute there’s a couple of decent bars located on the same road you’ll pass on your way out of town! The pasta first courses were so delicious, and we both enjoyed our second courses (steak for one and trout for another). Excellent wine list.
