Highly rated seafood restaurant in a low key neighborhood close to the docks. We found the experience to be a good value but underwhelming over all. Would we return? Probably not unless we really desired raw seafood.

as it is close to the food market ,a bit smelly but acceptable. the raw seafood platter is a surprise , seasoned with only salt ,lemon and olive oil, may not be suitable for someone who is afraid of raw seafood. the pasta is consistently great. we had the clam pasta

We had a fantastic meal at Osteria Antica Marina. It was recommended by our guide on our Mt Etna trek and everything was super fresh. The raw fish platter for two was a very generous portion and was outstanding. We had seafood pasta (again very generous portions) and the waiter recommended a great wine. Service was very quick and attentive as well. Highly recommend!

This is a go to restaurant for us when we visit Catania. Excellent fresh seafood creatively prepared and the best caponata! Fun to eat outside and enjoy the fish market activity. Reservations recommended.

The service was extremely poor, even to the point of indifference. We had to ask for everything more than once either by waving down a server and even going to the check-in host - still water, ice bucket for wine, olive oil, balsamic vinegar (salad dressing), our ticket. It felt like we were an inconvenience. Food was mediocre. Prawns were small. Salad was a mix of 2 lettuces - nothing else. The swordfish in the carbonara were very small- between minced and chopped.

Fabulous stylish restaurant serving incredible seafood right by the fish market. It’s an oasis in what is a very busy area. Excellent and friendly service. Great wines

We’ve dined at Antica Marina several times, and the food has consistently been excellent—no matter what we’ve ordered. The wine list offers a great selection, including some outstanding high-end labels that are well worth exploring. The service is always attentive and professional, and the atmosphere is uniquely charming, especially considering the restaurant is located in an area that functions as a bustling fish market during the day. We’ll definitely be back!

This place may not look much from the outside buy it has everything I love in a restaurant, great fresh local food (fish) and well trained staff. To visit the fish market during the day you really understand what makes this place special. Would recommend to anyone staying in Catania

We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the authentic Catania restaurant located right in the middle of the fish market. Our food was delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly.

I visited it for the first time in 15 years. The food was still delicious. The menu has become more systematic. I remember it used to be completely chef’s choice’s style. So, I added my favorite granita by myself as a dessert. The taste is still very delicious.

The charred octopus appetizer was very tasty but a bit chewy for my taste. The pasta with shrimp was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it. As a single diner, my reserved table was not optimum, but when I asked, I was able to get a better table. It probably helped that I was early. I had a nice view and the service was efficient.

Picked a return visit for our last night of a month in Sicily. Very good dinner, with focus on seafood. While we did have “better” food in a couple of places, the ambiance of eating on the deck and attentive service make it a 10

Pasta was definitely not al-dante but undercooked. The prices were too expensive. Only fried fish was really good.

This food is the best in Catania. I had great service, he explained the menu and gave great recommendations. I recommend the apertivo plate- you get a great sense of all the dishes unique to Sicily. The fish was so fresh and excellent in the sampler dishes. I also got a ravioli with almond pesto which was also excellent.
