10/10I visited it for the first time in 15 years. The food was still delicious. The menu has become more systematic. I remember it used to be completely chef’s choice’s style. So, I added my favorite granita by myself as a dessert. The taste is still very delicious.

9/10The charred octopus appetizer was very tasty but a bit chewy for my taste. The pasta with shrimp was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it. As a single diner, my reserved table was not optimum, but when I asked, I was able to get a better table. It probably helped that I was early. I had a nice view and the service was efficient.

10/10Picked a return visit for our last night of a month in Sicily. Very good dinner, with focus on seafood. While we did have “better” food in a couple of places, the ambiance of eating on the deck and attentive service make it a 10

10/10This food is the best in Catania. I had great service, he explained the menu and gave great recommendations. I recommend the apertivo plate- you get a great sense of all the dishes unique to Sicily. The fish was so fresh and excellent in the sampler dishes. I also got a ravioli with almond pesto which was also excellent.

10/10We never miss a lunch here if we are visiting Catania. The seafood is fresh, the pasta and salads are creative with homemade pasta, and the staff is welcoming and always friendly and patient with our language barriers. Every detail is carefully thought out and we appreciate it so much.

10/10Excellent food, with a good selection of fresh fish and very professional service. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Cozy atmosphere in a nice and quiet location a few meters distance from Sant Agata church. Price was very reasonable. It was our best food experience in Catania.

6/10Decent food, but expensive for what it is. Many waiters wandering around and not giving any service. There are much better restaurants around, even the same stalls in the fish market at a fraction of what you pay.

10/10Had been recommended this spot next to the fish market in Catania. It did not disappoint. Possibly the best fish we have ever eaten. Washed down with a crisp delicious local white wine. Great food. Great value. Great service. Will be returning for sure.

7.5/10Lovely food. We had the special seafood platter starter and it was excellent. Service mostly great - they did get some of the orders mixed up but soon rectified. They ordered us a taxi which came instantly. Sat outside in the evening which is a little quirky with trains going over bridge only 50 yards away and empty fish stalls next to us but not unpleasant. Unfortunately we were subject to several street hawkers selling flowers etc and also a very overweight family begging as they had ‘nothing to eat’. They went away fairly quickly but think it would have been nicer to sit inside.

10/10We had a marvelous lunch here. The food was delicious and the staff were all very welcoming. Pietro's suggestion of wine to accompany our meal was perfect. This Osteria gets our highest recommendation!

9/10Recommended by friend. Delightful place near fish market.Ate fritos mixtos tasted fresh lots of little whole fishes plus prawns. Generous bowl for 20 euros. Had hoped for whole snapprr merluzz or similar.Sea bass and bream offered. Maybe out of season

7/10Quaint & rustic, good location. Service friendly but could have been more attentive - long periods without attention, particularly between courses. Portions good sized. I had the mussel pot with lovely sauce. However the bread for dipping was not fresh but hard and seemed to be left out some time. My fish dish was fresh and moderate tasting. Overall, I've tasted much better seafood at many other places in Italy.

9/10What an incredible discovery in Catania near the fish market - especially for seafood lovers. We ate there twice and chose our own fish one night. Incredible. Also, the seafood salad and tuna dishes. Even the desserts tempted us both nights. Professional service and thoughtful help with the wonderful wine list. The space inside is modern and interesting - the only issue we had was that the lighting was way too bright. Outside looked lovely and looked out into the market area.

10/10Best seafood I’ve ever had, chef’s antipasti platter was incredible, the other two dishes were great, and everything we saw people order looked incredibly fresh. Great Etna wine list too. Service was very friendly, and accommodating to those of us whose Italian language skills are a little rough.

10/10It was our 19th wedding anniversary and I wouldn’t have wanted to celebrate it elsewhere.In the middle of the fish market, the atmosphere was unique and the food was really delicious.

5.5/10the raw fish platter was not good and poorly made, I don’t think I’ve experience such poor preparation of raw fish. The mains (seafood stew and tuna steak seared with a tomato almond sauce on top were unimpressive but edible.
