10/10Really friendly and helpful staff made us feel most welcome. Lovely ambience under brick built arches and exciting art on the walls. Delicious herb and spiced beef, lovely roast potatoes and a mixed salad with a marvellously fresh green olive oil. An excellent Brunello recommended by the waiter.

7.5/10Arrived early for our booking & shown to our table . We were the only guests so it was lovely & quiet inside . Bread & water arrived the we ordered & asked if we could omit mushrooms which was no problem . Requested a small portion as hate food waste. Food was delicious & still a huge portion of pasta . Hubby had pizza which was a bit over fired as crust was tough to cut but again delicious . Great value & well worth a visit

8/10One has to try the bistecca Fiorintina, a great Toscan t-none steak cooked perfectly. Service is kind and gently, a true old school hosteria located in the old city centre of San Gimignano

10/10I am a returning customer. I found so good the menu that I decided to return. It's an unformal restaurant with a good variety of dishes at a good prices. Recommended!!

9.5/10This restaurant offers a welcome opportunity to taste the specialties of San Gimignano. It became rich for being "the city of saffron" and saffron was its gold. I had an exceptional pasta (pici) with saffron and black truffles (another specialty) and my wife had rice with saffron and cinta senese (a local pig ragout). But everything was good and very much local.

10/10We had an absolutely fantastic lunch here. Great service, great atmosphere and the most delicious food. We’ve lived in Italy for a year and my husband said it was by far the best plate of pasta that he’s eaten. I think it was maccheroni with salsicce, funghi and tartufo. My mother-in-law and I had saffron risotto with salsicce which was actually incredibly delicate. We happily spent a couple of hours here, eating great food and having a wonderful time. The house red was also very good. Would love to go back.

9.5/10We had just arrived and were looking for a nice lunch before we checked in to our hotel. We each got a pizza and a glass of house wine. Perfect. The pizza tasted great and so do the wine, although I am no wine expert. Reasonably priced as well. Very pleasant older gentleman greeted us and others and seated us. Spoke enough English to communicate well. Very welcoming.

5/10They forgot to bring our meal. We finally asked them where our food was and reminded them we were there to eat lunch. The food was average, but worth the hour and a half we waited. They discounted our meal by just €4.50 to compensate for forgetting our meal.
