10/10Best food and super well presented. If you’re near Corso Como and in the Brera district this place is a treat much like the name sake wine, Brunello. You won’t be disappointed.

8.5/10This restaurant was a great one. Although they are strict about their opening and closing times, their food was exceptional. The staff were nice and friendly. The chef gave us a surprisingly good cheese blend and the perfect bread to go with it. The seafood meatballs were surprisingly good. Lamb shank and beef sirloin were cooked to perfection. Chefs special veal schnitzel screams award worthy. The only bad thing I have to say about this restaurant is their own tiramisu recipe. It was almost all cream and no cake. There were these crumbs in between the 2 layers of cream while the cream itself was nothing out of the ordinary. I had to almost force myself to eat it. Overall this restaurant is pretty good. I myself didn’t like their recipe of tiramisu but try it for yourself.

10/10The perfect meal in Milan. We shared the risotto Milanese which was exquisitely cooked in veal broth, and the cotoletta alla milanese which has won a gambero rosso award, with reason! Our waiter suggested a gorgeous Brunello to accompany the meal. Highly recommended. We will be back!

10/10A real gem in a pleasant area. Staff provided a warm welcome and were very attentive. The food could not be faulted, a real Milanese treat! Also accompanyed by excellent service .... and wine!

5/10It was a disappointment- the menu is very limited. My friend ordered a duck dish, instead received a beef cheek one. I had a hair in my secondo- they did not charge me but still disappointing. There is no ambiance The whole experience was mediocre.

5/10Food was good, service was terrible. Despite the restaurant being less than half full, they tried to seat us in at the back of the restaurant (undesirable table). It seems a lot of restaurants in Milan take unkindly to North American tourists no matter how well dressed you are or how much money you are willing to spend. It’s unfortunate because the food was good and the waiter at our table was kind, the people at the front door were not. If you don’t have a reservation, a lot of restaurants will find a way not to seat North American tourists (even if restaurant is nearly empty).

9.5/10Ferragosto is a major bank holiday in Italy and we were grateful we could benefit from Osteria Brunello staying open on this day (kudos to the staff for working on a major bank holiday). Great traditional milanese food, particularly the cotoletta, but also the vegetarian mondeghili and the culatello with focaccia were very tast. Did not try dessert as the portions are generous and there was no space left. Ambiance is warmly modern and considering the place was packed, not noisy at all. Professional service.

9/10I am giving the food 9 points because the ravioli were a little bland, and the rissoto was a bit salty. Other than that the food was very delicious. The cotoleta is a must try! The wine was very tasty and the service and atmosphere on point!

6/10The food was extremely salty. The veal Milanese was nothing special. The dessert was inedible - the 'tiramisu' was whipped cream and a crumble. Didn't taste any coffee or liquor in it at all. Woke up with digestive issues in the middle of the night. Bummer.

10/10Food and wine are very good!!! I really suggest you to try “La Cotoletta di Vitello alla milanese”, it’s very delicious. The atmosphere is great both if you are a couple as well as if you are with a group of friends. I’m sure I will be back.

10/10We got recommended about this place by our Italian friend based in Milan. We loved it so much. Everything was flawless: the food, the service, atmosphere. We got lobster pasta and Milanese cotleta. Both were really delicious. We certainly will be back. Thank you Osteria Brunello!

6/10The atmosphere was nice. I would say, it is overrated. The risotto milanese was extremely hard to eat. The papardelle pasta were surprisingly not warm. The first impression of the lady (probably rest manager) when we first entered the Osteria Brunello was quite cold and negative. I didn’t feel welcomed, she had a rude way of talking. I kindly asked if we could move to another table (the one she suggested was too close to the main door and it was too cold). Her response was rude and did not solve anything, with the excuse that the table was booked. Surprisingly nobody came, there were other tables that were free. She did not even try to help or solve the issue. I have to say that the two waiters that helped us were very good. I would recommend the slow cooked egg, the octopus and if you are a meat lover, the prize winner meat they served. The tiramisu in the end was quite good as well.

9/10The food is very high quality and there is a good variety. The service was little bit slow, but it’s also true that the evening was really busy. We ate outside, it was lovely but the only think I didn’t like is the fact that every 10 minutes you have the visit of some homeless asking for money, looking at you while you’re eating or some of the guys who sell roses and similar pressing to buy something. Since the outdoor area are has a fence, maybe it would be appropriate if someone of the restaurant could stop them to enter.

10/10Great meal in a great setting. The food delicious, the risotto tasted amazing and was cooked to perfection. The cotoletta was seasoned perfectly and the meat tender. The service was on point. Very enjoyable meal.

10/10Lovely restaurant almost in the very heart of the magic district of Brera. Nice and quite romantic ambiance is accompanied by very good Italian food with some authentic touch. Menu is short focused on a few rather traditional dishes that are executed in individual and exquisite manner. La cotoletta alla milanese is really the best I’ve ever tried in Milan.
