7.5/10Food was decent. My osso buco was not very warm. One guy went to get us a table then another girl made us sit by the drafty window, she was a witch. Literally ignored us for 10 mins then came over and said what do want you to eat. No drink order, no offer to bring us water. We couldn’t have put her out more by the way she was acting, facial expressions and all. Never brought us bread for a scarpetta or anything. She needs to be disoccupata.

10/10We had a lovely dining experience at Osteria del Gatto e la Volpe. The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic with a peaceful and welcoming ambiance. 2/10We wrote a good review on Google. Generally, we were happy with our experience there. But then, after we paid the bill, we were given the itemized receipt and noticed that we were. not given the Fork discount. (It should have been 50 percent, but no discount at all was given.) I showed the itemized receipt to the waiter, and he said that we were given the discount, when in fact we were not. We paid full price, and I have the receipt to prove it. The fact that the waiter lied to us is most upsetting. We have been to the restaurant before, as we live in Florence, but we will not go back again.

6/10The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. The waitstaff seemed inattentive and disengaged, which negatively affected the overall experience. At full price, it doesn’t feel worth the money. However, it’s a decent option if you have a discount through The Fork.

8/10They seated us in the aisle, although there were better seats. Apparently, those who came with a discount from Fork were given only such seats. At first, there was no discount on the bill, I had to remind them. The waiter was not very friendly. Part of the wine list is missing.

We arrived at 7:50, asked for a carbonara and the chef's pick of Florence steak. The carbonara arrived at 8:50 and it was very good, up until we requested the staff was very pleasant. Afterwards everything turned south. The steak took around another hour or so to come and it came so well done to the point it was burnt in some areas. It wasn't enjoyable at all and although after complaining to the staff they asked if we wanted another one it simply shouldn't even have come to the table and a steak shouldn't take over an hour to be served. We would have accepted but at this point we were in the restaurant for over 2h and possibly waiting another one was out of the question. The service continued to fail as we had to wait yet again to pay and leave.

I highly recommend this dish for anyone looking to try something truly special. From start to finish, this dining experience exceeded all expectations. Can’t wait to visit again!
