I had dinner at Osteria del Giglio today and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and full of flavor, but what truly made the experience special was the staff. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every time I come back to Florence, I’ll definitely return here. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place with a mix of indoor and outdoor tables. I loved the tables down the side under the flowers! Very nice friendly attentive service and good choice on the menu. Would definitely go back!

The food, the food was spectacular! I have not had better pasta dishes in Italy. The Carbonara went beyond my expectations. The sides were extraordinary, especially the potatoes. Tremendous steaks and beef tartare dishes. And the service was sterling-warmth, efficiency, and accommodation.

Food was lovely however the service was disappointing. The manager claimed this was because the waiter did not understand us, however if that was the case, then the waiter could have asked someone who did understand to clarify what we wanted. The attitude of one of the other servers was also verging on rude. Shame as otherwise it would have been a nice visit.

I have never left a bad review anywhere in my life. I’m really not that person, but was such a horrible experience. The waitress was extremely rude. She would check on all of the other tables and storm past us and roll her eyes when we genuinely weren’t doing anything wrong. I’d be the first to blame myself or my family but nobody did anything wrong and she wasn’t treating other tables badly. I ordered lamb and the two family members I was with ordered steaks. My lamb was extremely chewey and all fat. One steak came out less than rare. The other steak came out well done. She was so mad when asked if the steak could be cooked longer (we didn’t even send back the well done steak or lamb). After our meal she came over with three limoncello shots in hand and placed two of them in front of my family, made eye contact with me, and then walked away and dropped that shot off at another table. She never came back and someone else dealt with our bill. Horrible!

Beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant. The Fiorentina steak we had was delicious. The cook did a great job and Alteo, the waiter, did an amazing service. I highly suggest this restaurant
