6.5/10The food was good, the ambience was also nice, it would have been perfect if we could have sat outside. Unfortunately, the staff were not friendly, they made us wait until someone finally wanted to know what we wanted to eat and drink. If we'd had to wait any longer, we would have got up and left. In the end, they take the money too...

2/10Very disappointing experience. Fornelli had not registrated my booking at The restaurant so they gave us a table inside by The bar. The staff did not seem to notice us. Ordered just bruschetta, which was soggy and tasteless. We left to find another place to eat.

9/10Welcoming and helpful staff who spoke English. Clean toilets. Pleasant surroundings and beautifully decorated. Food mostly excellent. Disappointed with suckling pig.

5.5/10There was a hair in one of the dishes. But that would have been ignored if there was not the unpleasant surprise of finding an extra 10 Eur charge for a small basket with bread which we never ordered and was served as something one would consider a compliment, yet it remained untouched, because we didn’t want it (we ordered pasta after all). That little trick was really annoying, we were two adults and two kids, not even a big company or something.

It' not a trick. It is the way in Italy we pay the service. So "Pane e Coperto" is another way to say service. It costs just 2.50 €. And the service must be paid even if you don't eat the bread. This is common in Italy, and I'm sure yuo'll find the same in any other restaurat. And I'm sure you gonna pay for the service in any other country in the world, even yours. For the hair, this is not common and we are sorry about, but if asked we would change the dish, if only the customer would tell us about. So if you don't know just ask. Bye

10/10Fabulous each and every time. It’s our 3rd visit to the area in 5 years and we make it a point to dine here. Food, wines, service, and view are spectacular.

10/10The cheese platter was delicious and the house made pepper marmalade was the best we have ever had. We both had pasta and it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The view was spectacular and we definitely recommend reserving a table outdoors. We will definitely return.

8.5/10This little restaurant was a great find; excellent fresh interior with modern art adorning the walls… amazing views over the Tuscan hills. Food was beautiful, well prepared with a real local feel.

7.5/10The food was good, ambiance was lovely. The service was quite slow. It took quite awhile to get our secondo. Other tables near us were complaining & asking where their food was. (40 min wait between courses). The staff wasn’t very friendly. Still, I would go back. Desserts were fantastic!

10/10Very fine dining, well balanced flavours. Their dishes are pure and rely on fresh and high quality ingredients. It's located just outside the busy part of Volterra and has a spectacular view.
