7/10Initially waiter was cold and not friendly when had questions about wine and food menu. Restaurant was empty as we ate early. He warmed up after we ordered. Pasta with boar ragu was very good. Osso bucco with peas was “good”. It was a good dining experience. Expected excellent.

10/10Wonderful dinner! We had a fresh pasta with wild boar, a Florentine steak, and a fresh pasta with porcini mushrooms. Service was great, ambience was lovely- can be casual or dressier. I will definitely return on my next visit. Highly recommend

10/10Great little restaurant with loads of atmosphere. My wife and I between us had tagliolini and truffles, salad caprese, steak florentine for one and the aubergine main. All were outstanding. 2 nice wines, a Chardonnay and a Chianti rounded off the meal. Service was very friendly and a special thanks to our lovely young waitress. Prices were very fairer €22.50 for the steak (which I couldn’t finish - it was large). Highly recommend but you’ll need to book. It was humming on a Saturday night!

7/10Our server was the worst! We asked if they had a house wine as most restaurants do in Venice and he attempted to try to confuse and upsell us as he thought we didn't understand. The server also insulted us by telling that we should leave him a large tip as it was not included in the bill even though we paid a large cover charge per individual - we fully understand how tipping works it Italy. Food was great, with the exception of the bread. I have been to this restaurant 3 times and this was not up to expectations.

10/10Perfecto! The food is delicious, the staff is extremely friendly, and the view of the Duomo is stunning. Try the homemade pasta wiyh wild boar ragu-you will fall in love.

9/10The food was excellent and served by friendly efficient staff. The only thing that was disappointing was that we took our Grandson as the online menu stated gelato as one of the deserts. He was extremely disappointed when he was told they didn't have any and went without a desert.

10/10My sister and I decided to stop in this quaint little restaurant in Florence and were greeted by Milan. He is exceptional!! He is humorous and lively and you feel welcomed immediately. He is also accommodating and assisted us with ordering two pasta dishes, appetizers, wine, dessert, etc… the pastas were homemade and excellent. We had the ricotta nettle ravioli in a pomodoro sauce which was the best sauce I’ve ever had (we are “young” chefs) and their pasta and wild boar sauce - amazing! My sister loved the tiramisu. I really wanted to try the steak but we were so full. We didn’t finish our wine so Milan corked it and gave us a reusable bag to carry away with us which no place has done thus far. I highly recommend eating here both for the food, prompt service and warm, welcoming souls like Milan. There was another server there and he was super friendly and lively too. Definitely a memorable part of our trip.

9/10The servers were all excellent, polite, well spoken, friendly. The view from patio was directly looking at Duomo. 3 appetizers and 3 of 4 dishes were GReat. I ordered poorly for one of them! I took 3 students with me and they all said that it was their best meal !

9.5/10This little restaurant was a treasure. Really good and simple food. I adored the mixed bruscetta. I had excellent pasta cinghiale, my wife had excellent pasta porcini. Very nice and funny waiter. If i visit Florence again, I will be back here.

10/10Terrific! The three waitstaff were very friendly and attentive and the food was superb. The burrata appetizer was good, the lasagna was very good (more meaty and less tomato than in the US). The beef fillet with porcini mushrooms and truffle was fantastic and provided two or three days of protein :). I usually take my steaks grilled medium and this was rare- but fantastic. Tiramisu came in a dessert glass and was like a pudding- very good. Relatively quiet street with a view of the Duomo. Highly recommend!

10/10We had Bistecca alla Fiorentina and pizza, both were very delicious and excellent house wine. Also the service was superb. Due to the reservation we did online, we had %20 discount on food. It was really nice. Highly recommended.

10/10A beautiful interior with gracious and attentive service. The food was delicious - we had eggplant parmesan, tortellini Bolognese, and my son had a giant steak. All were very good - we also had the peas and grilled vegetables. The dinner was delicious and well priced, and the restaurant was comfortable and elegant.

9/10We enjoyed our dinner! Very nice ambiance. Our server was fantastic. Starter of burrata, tomatoes and arugula was delicious. We had two pastas…one was a hit (simple aglio olio with red pepper flakes) versus a miss (fresh tagliolini with black truffle). Tagliata with rugula and balsamic was very tasty. We skipped dessert. Complimentary limoncello after was nice touch. We will definitely be back.

10/10We are lucky enough to get back to Florence a couple times a year. We always make sure we can have dinner at Osteria Giglio d'Oro each time. Service is is excellent, there is always someone nearby and checking on if anything is needed. Food is always top notch, prepared just as ordered. Recommended totally.

10/10We were searching for a typical Florentine restaurant serving local dishes and Giglio d’Oro had some great reviews so we went along. Such a charming osteria in a street just behind the historic Cathedral, The decor and lighting were cosy and the restaurant was warm (very cold outside). Very friendly staff who spoke far better English than our very poor Italian. Great food - we had vegetable soup and then a traditional beef stew with polenta - very good. Tiramisu and a coffee to follow. Couldn’t fault it. Will definitely go to this restaurant again if/when we come back to Florence.
