Brisk, efficient service, plus you pay on the way out so don't have to wait around for the bill. Good food, pleasant atmosphere, welcoming host. I'll happily eat here again.

Found this Osteria via our European travel agent. Had great reviews & it did not disappoint. Service was excellent! It was Christmas Day and we were thankful it was open for dinner. We were greeted with glasses of champagne to celebrate the holiday and we left with a bottle of house Chianti wine. It was full but not noisy. We tried several Florentine dishes and they were all delicious! As Americans we are used to rushing through meals, but just relax and enjoy the multiple courses and service. What I love about the places we ate at in Florence was we got to meet the owners. They are kind and want to provide you with good food and a good experience.

The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous! Since we arrived earlier than our reservation, they let us rest on the sofa and even treated us to complimentary champagne—which was exactly what we needed after a long day of sightseeing. It seems like a popular spot for locals too. Highly recommended!

The restaurant was lovely- staff friendly but very busy - husband’s beef stew delicious with great depth of flavour. But the chicken liver pate was not to our taste- my daughter loves pate and we had had another chicken pate a previous evening which was just devine- she unfortunately couldn’t eat this one. Our wild boar pasta dish was absolutely fine but not particularly memorable- we had hoped for more after reading the reviews about the food . Maybe it is because we didn’t have steak ? But overall slightly disappointed .

This place is great! Ambience, service and especially the food. The ravioli w spinach and truffles was delicious as was the veal chop. All cooked to perfection. Special kudos to the manager/owner (not sure) who was super generous and friendly! Highly recommend.

It was our last evening in Florence and we wanted to have Florentine steak once more. We couldn’t have chosen a more comfortable and delicious restaurant. The table location, the waiters, serious about the food, but understanding our sense of humor, and the quality of the food all made for a relaxed and memorable evening. Grazie Mille.

Booking this place days in advanced on our holiday the experience was underwhelming. We had a higher expectation for the Florentine steak. The meat was quite chewy. The service was a little slow and the staff looked under pressure.

We had a fabulous experience. The ambiance is cozy, charming and romantic. The waiter came over, greeted us and carefully walked us thru the menu and gauged how hungry we were and what we were in the mood for. For our appetizer we had their Burrata on a bed of vegetables with just the right amount of olive oil and balsamic…the best was the shaved truffles. Everything was great but the shaved truffles made it perfect. We shared the Wild Boar Pappardelle which paired so well with the Chianti Gran Selccione “Oro”. Amazing how the wine pares with the right food. We then shared a Filet and once again learned of the impact of drizzled Olive Oil but what made it so delicious was the salt we were able to sprinkle on the meat. A truly perfect dinner and love how we were able to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. As we were leaving the owner gave my wife a bottle of wine which we then enjoyed in our hotel room. Perfection is the only word I can use to describe our experience!

It was our 20 year anniversary and we picked this restaurant for our last meal in Florence. Amazing ambience and service, you feel right at home with the big welcome. The food was spectacular. We had a bottle of wine, salad w radicchio, lettuce, pecorino, walnuts and olives. Delicious. We had florentine steak for our main along with the pumpkin risotto with cod and pistachios which as to be the best I’ve ever had. They acknowledged our anniversary with lemon cello shots and just the most memorable night. We will be back in a heartbeat if we ever return to Florence. Thank you so much.
