10/10The Best Food We Had During Our Visit to Florence. They are very popular and require a reservation. We scheduled our visit a few days prior but I wish we could have gotten in earlier as the food was excellent. I highly recommend making a reservation and to spend a memorable time here.

5/10The most important thing you need to know about this restaurant is that there is NO AIR CONDITIONING! NONE, NADA ZERO. It is sweltering in Florence now and for the next 3 months, and this restaurant is in an off-the-run part of town so you have a long walk to get there and when you do it is hotter inside than outside. It was painful and the food was not much better. I had caprese salad and the tomatoes were tiny, yellow and tasteless. The spaghettone with wild boar was also tasteless, like a bad stew bumped on top of noodles. A very unpleasant experience overall.

5.5/10At first the visit was great - we had a very nice waiter and vibe was good. The food arrived - underwhelming and quite dissapointing, the pasta was kind of bland (unlike many other places we've tried) and overall not very impressive. Then, the main course - a cheek roast, not a very good one, again - dissapointing. But the worst is that we barely touched the main course, a different waiter arrived, asked if we were done as if she really wanted us to leave the restaurant already (the food is untouched except for a small bite), didn't ask anything and took it like that and gave us the check - with the dish included of course... first time we get this kind of treatment in italy, not very pleseant.

7/10Tortellini with truffle somewhat cold and a little too ‘al dente’ for my liking. We asked for the Steak florentine to be served medium but it was very very rare for our taste, especially for the young kids. Staff were very friendly and the interior was quite charming.

10/10Started with the chicken liver patte on toast. It was exquisite. Next we shared the ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach. To finish we had ossobucco that was so tender and flavorful. We had a side of sautéed spinach. The ambience was great and the service was amazing. This will be on my go to list for my next visit to Florence.

Vecchio cancello delivered to us a lovely Tuscan dinner in a beautiful setting with very attentive and kind service. I wanted to sample chianina bistecca alla fiorentina and it was spectacular. Delicious, extremely tender and cooked to perfection. The Tuscan terrine was also memorable. I would highly recommend this place.

10/10Lovely quaint restaurant with delicious food. Shouting antipasti starter was absolutely fantastic - followed by risotto and wild boar pasta. Too full to squeeze in dessert which also sounded fabulous.

10/10What an amazing night! We just had one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The rave reviews did NOT disappoint. Service couldn’t have been better and the food was top notch! We had to walk 25 minutes to get here and it was absolutely worth it. The mushroom pasta was fantastic and my wife loved her ravioli. Topped off with amazing wine and limoncello it was a magical night. The owner is a neat guy that truly cares about his customers. He came out to tell me I forgot something and had a special treat. Thank you! So many great places to choose from in Florence but this is one is a must NOT miss. I would be sure to make reservations as this place is popular for a reason!

5/10Good service - except the chef who is not able to issue a VAT invoice to an international customer - beside a quite good filet the rest of the food was 😟 - wonder how they get all these positive reviews on tripadvisor - after having paid our bill with no tip at all (which we doing not even 3 times a year) the chef offered us a bottle of the „company wine“ - nice trial but still the cena was 😟 - we are coming to Firenze since 1986 - never experienced something similar - Google most wellknown restaurants, find and try this one snd understand in what a time of fake information we live …

6/10This restaurant is quite a distance in a less well-lit and less populated part of town. The food was very mushy and not well-flavored, and they didn't have some of the items on their menu. The waiter was kind and funny.

10/10Cosy authentic Florentine restaurant. Friendly staff who were really helpful. Fabiana recommended a delicious red wine to pair with our food. The food was absolutely delicious. Great portions and the Mezzaluna was outstanding. Lots of locals eating at the same time and that's always a good sign. Treat yourself to this little gem if you're planning on visiting Florence. Booking in advance advisable.

10/10The service was wonderful! My husband had the pasta with wild boar, his third time eating this dish while in Tuscany, and he said tonight was his favorite. I had the ravioli with truffle slices and almonds. It was excellent, the flavors blended together perfectly!

we had a fantastic time , the restaurant itself has a lovely setting inside and the staff spoke good English and were very helpful. we had steak Florentine and it was delicious, we weren't sure if it was going to be enough for 2 of us , but sure enough we didn't finish the lot. I went for my partner's birthday and as a surprise for her they came out with a couple of slices of cake with a candle on , she was embarrassed.. much to my delight 😂. on the way out we thanked the front of house staff and they gave us a house bottle of wine as a leaving present. honestly would recommend to everyone visiting Florence. would love to come back again one day thank you very much 🙏

10/10We had a wonderful dinner for my Aunt’s birthday, the food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. The waiter was very pleasant and could not have tried harder to ensure we enjoyed our meal. What made it extra special was at the end when the host played the guitar and we all sang Happy Birthday to my Aunt. I thoroughly recommend trying out this superb restaurant on your trip to Florence.
