Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Loved what they recommended, liver on the toast were very surprised delicious. The T-bone was also lovely, just too much for two people. We have to ate fast in order to avoid it getting cold, felt a bit pressure

Everything was excellent and the price was very reasonable. The only downside was that the restaurant had no record of the Fork booking. They said that they had had some problems with Fork bookings. However, they fitted us in and looked after us royally.

Lovely little Osteria a bit off the beaten track. Service very nice and attentive, food plentiful (as you would expect at Nonna‘s table :-) ) and very good.

Birthday lunch at the world famous restaurant Osteria Vecchio Cancello in downtown Firenze. We order the traditional Bistecca alla fiorentina and a excellent Chianti wine. The starter was bruschetta tradizionale di Toscani and for dessert a tiramisù worthy of the Gods. Great place

The food was delicious and the limoncello was a nice treat at the end After we were seated and ordered water- another table that came in after us got their water and bread first. We never received our water or bread. Which was fine. Wasn’t bad- but also not the greatest.

I saw many comments in the internet before we go. The meat seems perfect but the taste is not it is disappointment for us. The next day we went to another local restaurant to eat florentine steak and we saw the difference.

The food was the most creative and delicious of any restaurant in Florence. We liked the funky decor, the informal and friendly wait staff but above all, the food. It's s bit out of the way but worth the trip.

A glass of prosecco while waiting for my lunch table and the friendly welcome from the owner and his pleasant staff made my post-flight repast a great start to Firenze. Delicious bruschette, a plate of tagliolini with fresh porcini, and a lot of white wine will keep Osteria Vecchio Cancello on the list when I return to this lovely city. It's restaurants like this why we love Tuscany.

The atmosphere was great, and the service was good (unless you are too hungry or on a rush, then you might find it a bit slow). The pasta and risotto were both reasonable for their price. I'm not sure about the bistecca because I didn't eat it, but it looks like a popular choice. Their millefoglie seemed to be a very abstract deconstruction of the actual cake, go for it if you want a surprise!

The food was among the best we had in Florence. We shared a wild guinea fowl ravioli to start, then shared two mains of pork tenderloin with fig jam and caramelized vegetables, and a Tuscan beef stew. Everything was outstanding. And the portions were so huge, we were too stuffed for dessert. The service was attentive and friendly. The ambience was cozy and quiet. We could see them turning people away at the door, which says a lot.

We were there for lunch and the decorations within the restaurant was very nice and gave a comfy atmosphere. The tables were spaced apart well and did not feel crowded like a lot of restaurants in Florence. We ordered the burrata salad with fresh truffle, a little underwhelming but fresh, the guinea fowl pasta, the meat was dry but the sauce and taste was quite nice, and the bone marrow ossobucco, nice rich flavour and tender meat.

From being greeted through the entire meal. The service was terrific. Our waiter Tan was a really good guy and very attentive. He explained the Florentine steak to the six of us and recommended the perfect portion. The salads were very large and plenty enough for two people. The wine list was very nice and had options for all price ranges.

Great decor here! Very eclectic but funky. It har dot,find. Close to everything good in Florence. Food was good. Or the best we had while in Florence but definitely .y on the very good to great scale. Would recommend it for a nice dinner out if you happen to be in the area!
